#Chiefs have signed veteran OT Ray Willis - 26 NFL starts and was most recently with the Jets. Were looking to add T after Tony Ugoh retired

If the Jets cut him after trading for Otah (who failed his physical), I'm guessing the guy fucking blows.

Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Willis hasn't played in an NFL game since 2009. Started for Seahawks in 2008 and 2009.

Hopefully he doesn't play an NFL game in 2012 either.

We only had three OT I believe after Ugoh left.

Also FB Taylor Gentry has been given his walking papers after failing to pass a physical.

Junior Hemingway was carted off the field yesterday. The good news is it doesn’t look serious. Hemingway suffered from a groin injury and will rest until he is good to go again.

-LB Brandon Siler was also out of practice yesterday after suffering from an ankle injury. According to reports he is moving well today.

We could move Albert to guard if this guy pans out.

Albert, Winston
Stephenson, Mims

Four. Willis is just a training camp body, and Stephenson will likely swing tackle until Mims is ready. Another option is Lilja steps back in at guard if needed(assuming Allen beats him out), and Allen steps in at OT if needed.

It's hard not to like Ray Willis.

Fuck that.

Reunite him with Payed-a-ton in exchange for a few cases of Fat Tire...

I know I'll get shit for this, but I don't understand why the Chiefs didn't re-sign Barry Richardson. As a backup, the Chiefs could do a whole lot worse. And right now, that seems to be exactly what they're doing.

Because he was god awful, and the worst o-lineman on the team. But he excelled at killing drives by giving up a sack, allowing pressure, or getting a false start or holding penalty.

IMO, I'd rather the young new draftees be the backups. Best way to learn.

Actually, as a backup Richardson would have been fine. You don't need all pros as backups, just some slapdick who won't completely suck shit.

Camp Fodder, a body in camp to learn the system and get called back if there are any injuries later in the season.
