View Full Version : Life What does your signature look like?

Mine is very neat and small. Every letter from my first and last name is legible. There are no sylizations other than its cursive form.

I remember reading some article about a signature analyst, who could talk about a person's personality just by looking at their signature. It was cool, though I'm sure it can't be the most accurate science around.

Some signatures are just so bizarre and outlandish that they're almost attention-seeking.

I have a long last name and generally don't fill it all out.

You can't distinguish my name from my signature at all.

Large. Non legible except first letter of both first and last name peaks and loops make up the rest of it. But it looks awesome.

When I write it's all caps print like it should be.

Depends on what I'm signing. Important documents...I have a signature for that. Receipts from the gas station....I have a signature for that. Which is a fucking scribble.

On receipts my sig is my first and last initial followed by an X.

On official documents I spell my first name out along with last in as juvenile cursive script as possible.

everyone things it says "Bitch" because I write it fast and the first letter looks like a B, although it isn't, and there is a crossed T after a dotted I.

I don't exactly have a set signature. There's a difference in each one.

If you can get a witness, you could cut it down to just the X.

Until about the age of 27, my signature looked exactly like it did in fourth grade when I learned cursive. At that point, as I signed more and more stuff, it became more and more quick. At some point, the entire first name withered into a scrawl other than the first initial. Then later, the last name withered, though it retains a distinctive swirl at the end since I have to circle back to dot an i, even though the i doesn't exist any more. Oddly, my first name also has an i, but I don't swirl back to dot it. Maybe I should. And for some reason, my middle initial is always present. I never sign my name without the middle initial, and I have no idea why.

If I was to include some sort of sylization, it would be a single straight line underneath the entire name. I like that look.

If you didn't know my name you couldn't figure it out from my signature.

Tall, skinny first letters followed by running to rest of the letters together without writting cursive. My first name ends up looking like a tall psychotic B then a line, last name looks like a squished tic tac toe board. I've been told by a handwritting expert that I'm either a creative soul or a serial killer... or both. Heh.

I even used to write with my letters leaning to the left even though I write with my right hand. I'm told that's unusual too. It's all pretty much straight up vertical now though.

I have a 6 letter last name and don't tend to finish it out, either. :)

I love my signature. It is simply the first letter of my first and last names in a small ink borne flourish. Before I adopted it, I used to write my full name in cursive and people would often wonder if I was epileptic or a man sized 3rd grader.

Mine is tough to decipher unless you know what you're looking at, but it is distinctive, reliably reproduced by me, and hard to reproduce by others. Also, it is a short name composed of tall letters, so it often gets reproduced taller than it is wide [which is difficult to place on credit card signature lines].

Mine has devolved into bascally nothing but the start of a cursive "M" (first name) followed by a bunch of wiggles. It's not really even all that consistent anymore.

I'm honestly considering going to a print signature. That would at least be closer to something that I would actually write.

I don't think I've written in cursive since the last day of whatever class I had to do it in. You can't tell what scribbles are anyway.

My illegible sig means I don't want to stand out and the fact that I don't dot my eyes means I don't give a shit about detail. /slacker

My boys are both in high school. They learned cursive in grade school and then told not to use it from middle school on. The teachers either want stuff in printing or typed (mostly typed).

So two farmers are doing some ice fishing one day.

Farmer Ted's got a daughter and Farmer Bob's got a son.

Ted says, "Your son sure has taken a liking to my Sally."

"I know, Tommy talks about her all the time."

"That's great, but something happened the other night that I got a problem with. When I stepped outside I saw that he pissed her name in the snow outside her window."

"Well, you know boys, they do stupid stuff to impress girls. Don't think too much of it."

"Well, I wouldn't but it was in HER handwriting!"

I make the first letter of first and last name and draw a line after that. Signed way way too many contracts in my life that required 100 of more signatures each.

Me too. Actually, my wife recently noticed that my first and last name signature looks kind of like my first name upside down.

My signature used to have every letter. Then I went to basic training and had drill sergeants yelling at you as you had to sign your name for every meal. It now is basically the first letter of my name and a squiggle, the first letter of my last name and a squiggle.

Now, it's the same squiggle every time though so it's very obvious what looks like my signature and what isn't, but it's still a squiggle.

It depends on my mood. I make all the characters the same, but if i'm normal I have a big sweeping signature that is dominated by the first letters of my first and last name. if I'm in a bad mood it gets compacted.
