Goldberg on the pregame insisting that this is the most cohesive clubhouse he's seen all year. We're all better y'all!

That's where I have a lot of trouble with Yost. Managing a very young team is a hell of a lot different then a vetern team. I just don't think Yost has the skills to deal with young ones. He should have put his foot down about shit a long time ago and not waited until it was too late to salvage the season

SALVY with the tater. 2-0 Royals

A right fielder and 3 starters could take this team to the Playoffs.

The 3rd could be Will Smith or Odorizzy.

Did Frenchy freeze to watch him catch that?

He ran all the way to second then watched the guy catch the ball

Don't be silly girlfriend. Our time starts when we're 20 back with 25 to play. Then we'll be unbeatable.

Guthrie's capable of games like this quite often. Which, of course, is why he's so frustrating. Gotta tell ya though, I'm really glad he's doing well for you guys tonight.

Brett cemented his place as my favorite player when he slid on his ass into the oppositions dugout trying to field a popup when he was in his 30's. Dude never let up

Why does Ned stack four righties in a row? Seriously. His Lineup management is shit. His pitcher management is shit. He probably has a worse WAR as a manager than Frenchy does as an everyday corner outfielder. Which is CRAZY.

The pitching, regardless of tonight's outcome has been pretty solid.

Jekyll/Hyde pitching staff.

his control is ridiculous tonight. Let him go for the CG. May as well. he's just at 100 pitches now.

Nightfyre

Guthrie's final line, assuming the pull him: 8.0 IP/5 H/0 BB/6 SO

Pretty good against a White Sox team that came in averaging over six runs a game for however many games. Maybe Eiland did fix him.

If you see him hanging something, you probably pull him. I didn't see anything hang last inning.

I'd like to thank WGN for not carrying any of the 3 games so I could watch even one of them. Even the Chicago station would rather carry the Cubs and their 8 game losing streak than their first place team lol.

Dude, Chicago has to be the bastard brother of San Francisco. I like to visit Chicago on occasion but there is no way in hell I could ever live in that city.

Broxton gave up two runs this evening, thus blowing the lead for the Reds.

where the hell did this guthrie come from? just from this game alone the sanchez-guthrie trade is an A+ because there is no way in hell sanchez could go 8 innings without walking anybody
