This is a national broadcast, so tune in! We should get a good preview of our opponent for Week 1.

We also get a good look at another team with a young QB who can throw the ball past 15 yards.

By the way, last week the Falcons were awesome. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones looked like total studs. Pretty concerning for us Chiefs fans.

dude the last game you said we were going to "see 2 real QB's" amounted in 4 complete passes and an INT between the two of them with 0 scores.

BTW, who has more playoff wins, Cassel or Ryan?

As you can tell I HATE the Falcons. As far as the Bucs... I will say they will be a lot better, but I expect around 7-9 or 6-10. Most of it depends on the defensive line for Tampa Bay.

I'm already seeing around the league that teams are abandoning the run like crazy. Not all of them but a lot. 3rd and 1 and you line up for a pass? Atlanta had 3rd and 3 and went empty backfield.

I'm more scared of the Bengals than the Falcons. The Bengals defense is for real and their run defense is stuffing Michael Turner's shit.

The Falcons run defense looks below average. Bengals backup RB fumbles....but after breaking a 15 yard run up the middle.

I think we'll beat the Falcons at home. Maybe not the Bengals though. Damn.

sanchez has a passel of playoff wins with mediocre season stats...but he sucks

Ryan is the opposite...but he sucks too

Cassel has neither...he sucks in the regular season and post season...but people still talk about how it is going to click for him this year (as a 30yr old) and we can totally win with him

besides whatever they are doing with Taylor Mays at safety, their secondary is decent.

Tony has been good, but a shell of himself in Atlanta.

Maybe he's not a clutch guy, I don't know. He hasn't been yet, but I'd sure as shit take him as a Chiefs qb.

Just back looking at the highlights and stats from their playoff game last year...

This might be part of the problem

Atlanta Rushing:
64 yards

NY Rushing:
172

Which probably lends itself to:

Ryan 18/41 for 199

Manning 23/32 for 277

I think Romo is great. The guy obviously puts up great numbers and has been the leader of one of the leagues top 10 offenses since he arrived. His playoff/late season choke acts are a bit disconcerting but I still hold his skills in high regard.

Vick isn't the best passer but he flashes and amazing cannon from time to time. Not to mention the dynamic his legs bring. Has that guy ever started for a team that didn't lead (or come very close to) the league in rushing? Look what he's helped Lesean McCoy do in Philly and what he did for Warrick Dunn in the twilight of his career in Atlanta. Much like Tebow, he takes a lot of pressure off the run blocking o-line and RBs.

The Bengals ROFL JFC ROFL

You do realize they played the NFC West last year

Yes, we'll see if they are frauds this year.

Based on the fact their QB is a fucking badass, I doubt it.

The Bengals were like 1-6 against .500+ teams and third stringer TJ Yates wipes the floor with them in the playoffs... POWERHOUSE!

Their qb was the ultimate game manager last year. They aren't gonna have a running game this year, so he's gonna have to nut up.

Their qb was the ultimate game manager last year.

He was one of the leaders in downfield passing.

He's a lot better than people give him credit for.

Deep Passing, 2011 Playoff Quarterbacks:

Aaron Rodgers - 30 for 57 (53%)
Drew Brees - 31 for 61 (50.8%)
Andy Dalton - 24 for 56 (43%)

And FFS, he was a ROOKIE.

After deducting all stats against NFC West teams, teams with losing records, and passes to guys that weren't in the spot they originally were supposed to be in, I have him at 1100 yards passing and 5 TD's. Sorry.

Visions of another 250 yard rushing performance are dancing in my head when I think about the opener. I think we're gonna gut them.

Atlanta only had the #6 rushing D last year.

While the Cardinals were #21.

So maybe do a little research before you extrapolate two preseason drives into 250 rushing yards. LMAO

Yet they were dominated physically up front by the Giants offensive line in the playoffs.

Is that the same badass that completed <50% of his passes and had a TD:INT ratio of 4:5 against the 2 actual powerhouses in his division that he's going to dominate?

As good as the Giants offensive line, in regards to the running attack?

I'd hope we are.

Sorry that a rookie struggled at times. LMAO

If Dalton was our QB, we'd be going insane with joy.

I'd like our chances better but I still wouldn't be crowning the Chiefs as a playoff winner.

I thought rookies were badass last year and Baldwin was the only one that wasn't?
