:spock:

Why not fold the pizza in half like a man and down it in 4 bites?

What if you order one at a restaurant?

Do you raise a ruckus, lift up on the table (throwing everything in the floor) and punch the nearest head you see?

asking for it cut in a restaurant is different imo

you're paying so you should get it the way you want

on the other hand, having your mommy or GF do it for you ...

I don't remember the last time I saw anyone have the sandwich cut in half. But it depends on the reasoning for me. What if you wanted it cut in half to help in your portion size and take the other half home?

So, a punch in the head is still deemed appropriate?

I'm wierd , but I think sandwiches taste better when cut diagonally. LOL I have my subs cut in thirds. Do I need to ? No. I'm single so don't make someone else do it , except at a Subway. They cut it in half anyway, I request thirds.

I ask cause I went out to lunch with this dude at work and we both ordered burgers, he sent his back to get it cut in half. I was like, c'mon man. Eat your ****ing burger like a man and he said that he just likes it that way, easier to eat.

I don't know, it kinda bugged me. Not gonna eat lunch with him again.

There wasn't a knife at the table for him to cut his own freaking burger? What a priss! Surprised he doesn't take his mommy to lunch with him to cut and feed his food for him.

I certainly don't have a problem with it being cut. Just do it yourself for god's sake!

The only way I eat anything cut in half is if it was already served that way. I don't ask for it.

Depends on the size of the sandwich. If you can't hold it in 2 hands, better cut it in half or you'll lose part of it out the back end.

If you NEED it cut in half that's weird. However, it's great for presentation and manageability.

As far as sending it back to the kitchen to get cut, yes you're a paying customer, but dude if you have two hands and a knife at the table, do it yourself.

I'll agree with the sentiment that a sandwich can be eaten whole or cut on your own, but do you know what pisses me off? When you order a chopped salad that comes out with whole tomato slices or avocado slices put off on the edge of the plate. For fuck's sake, chopped is in the name, don't put the responsibility of making my salad edible on my shoulders. I'm paying for a reason.

My response is, do you need your pizza to be sliced? Hmmm?

My guess is yes. It is a hand to mouth sandwich so to speak after all.

I like burgers and sandwiches cut in half, but I've never asked a kitchen, girlfriend, spouse or parent to do it, before it was made or after it was delivered.

This. Last night my sandwich was served to me uncut, and I cut it myself.

And now I'm going to share with you all why you want to have your sandwich cut in half. The area around the edges is going to have less stuff: meat, cheese, and fixin's. It is a flavor desert. Now you are going to have to eat these flavor deficient bites sooner or later. If you take a man-sized bite, you are going to capture a bit of the flavor oasis that lives in the middle of the sandwich. But the crusty desert is going to be closest to your tongue and that is going to dictate the pleasure of that particular bite. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could get the meaty part of a crust bite close to your tongue? Behold I give you the cut sandwich. Now, since you are eating from the inside out, when you get to those bites near the crust, the meaty part of the sandwich will enter first and occupy the prime real estate against your tongue, increasing the enjoyment of crust bites by up to 50%. Since up to 60% of the bites in a sandwich involve crust, eating the sandwich from the inside out, increases overall enjoyment of the sandwich by 30%.

You're welcome.
