How many DL do you think KC is keeping?

Jax, Dorsey, Toribio, Bailey and Poe are all locks. Is Smith, a guy who has motivational issues, demonstrably better than Gordon or Powe on the line?

Eh, Smith may end up slightly better than Gordon.

That said, Gordon was very solid for us, earned a contract and (IMO) earned his right to keep the job over a guy in Smith that left the team and played like !@#$ last year.

A lot of years I'd say to take a flyer on him, but Gordon was a good soldier last year and you want to reward veterans for seasons like that. I think it sends a questionable message to the other players on the team to cut Gordon loose to pick up a guy that got really shitty once he got paid.

I'd wish him well and advise him that there's just no room here.

“Shaun is my man,” Crennel said. “Shaun would love to be here, I’m sure, but we’ve got some guys on the team right now that they’ve worked pretty good and we feel decent about them, and then we’ll have to kind of look at it and see. I have not talked to Shaun yet, but Shaun might give me a call here shortly, but Shaun is a good guy and I like Shaun a lot. I’ve had him on two different teams, so we’ll see how that plays out as well.”

Undersized ? Dude played at 362 last year and is 340 this year. Hardly undersized. He was 325 when he played here. You also got to remember that is the year when Jackson was hurt for half of the year and Smith stepped in at LDE while he was hurt, so we had to go with Edwards.

He's not a prototype NT. Romeo's intent from Day One was to use him as a rotational guy who can play both end and nose. That's how he practiced in training camp and preseason, too.

325 is a good weight, I guess. I take that back about undersized. For some reason, though, Romeo insisted on leaving Ron Edwards up there. That I can't explain.

yep and this is why the Jets cut him. He's big and rangy, but he needs to get stronger and learn to play with leverage, all that shit. I hope he sticks around though, but if the staff cuts him, he probably isn't a loss.

Oil up your chainsaws as the zombies are sure to be unleashed in an unholy plague of death and destruction.

And yes, there goes Dorsey. An injury means you aren't getting shit for him in a trade. He's goneski. And probably happy to do it, test the free agent market, go to a 43 team on a two/three year deal, blow up and then get a end of career contract with said team.
