I am probably going to end up taking CCW class pretty soon. Has anyone in MO taken it and was it worth it? I dont want to carry so much as I just want to legally take my firearm with me when we camp etc.
Thanks

I don't live in Missouri, but it's worth it for this alone.

I took my class in MO... this is who I took it from.

$50 for the class and that includes range fees and the use of their guns.

It's worth it, if nothing else to protect you legally when transporting firearms. An innocent mistake could cause you a lot of trouble if you find yourself afoul of some technicality while traveling.

One fucking state, only ONE, doesn't allow CC. Of course, it's the one I live in. 4321

DC doesn't allow CC. If they did the known criminals aka politicians might start doing the right thing. :D

From the news reports it sounds like there is no shortage of the carry of concealed weapons in Illinois.

There was more effect gun control in the old west.

NYC doesn't allow for normal people, nor Chicago I believe. I now live inTX, and you can conceal a firearm in a car without a CCW. Night and day from NY.

BTW, I'll recommend having one in any state for anybody.

Yeah, no shit. Apparently criminals get an exemption.

I just picked up a new toy earlier today. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes with gun in hand thanks to my CCW permit. Taurus pt 709 slim 9mm. I love the way this thing feels and shooting 9mm rounds will be a nice change from shooting my 10mm, 45's or my .500 Smith and Wesson. This one will be easy on the wallet, when buying ammo. 9mm rounds are dirt cheap, compared to about everthing else I own. :doh!:Both clips are now loaded up with Hornady Critical Defense rounds, so she's ready to roll.

Bad Moon Wising is one of my favorite songs. If not for the lead singer's speech impediment, I think CCW could have been one of the top bands of all time.

From what I read on-line, it's VERY rare with this gun. I'll let you know after I let a few hundred rounds go, which will be this week at some point. :D

I've read that their quality has improved dramatically over the years. I have a Taurus myself - although mine's a snub .38.

good deal, in the past I've stuck with my S&W .38 snub but had to sell it. When I buy another I'll take a look at Taurus

I certainly have no complaints. It's a great little revolver and is a lot more accurate than you'd think. I have no personal experience with their pistols, though.

Ironically, it kicks more than my 9mm or my .40.

It's the small frame. Nothing to absorb the recoil except your hand.

I was reading some reviews and several people had sent 500+ rounds through theirs, without a single jam. Taurus now, in not the Taurus of 15 years ago. They make some quality guns.
