Giants lead 30 to 3 going into the 4th quarter. Cowboys bench Romo and put in Orton and go on to win 45 to 30.

Carr also has 3 INTs in that 4th quarter.

The Cowboys are going to win, because Dez Bryant's three babysitters will provide a lot of extra blocking.

Claiborne was picked apart. He really didn't look that good. He looked like a rookie. But give it some time, and I'm sure he'll look pretty good.

Carr looked average at best last night. He got burned by Dominic Hixon a few times including one time for what should have been a TD. And he also got embarrassed by Cruz to set up the Bennett touchdown.

Boom goes the dynamite! Suck it, 75% of CP that was wrong (don't think we didn't notice you folks that voted after the game was over...schmucks)

The 'boys blew 3 double digit leads in the 4th quarter last year and Romo was pretty much fantastic over the last 10 games of the year. Well Romo's back, Bryant's going to be improved, Murray's going to be back healthy; the offense should be fine. Their problem last year was in their secondary.

Sure, Carr got beat a couple of times and Claiborne looked like a rookie. That said, they were both still significantly better than what the Cowboys got out of their corners last year. They were, at worst, credible. They held a very dangerous passing game to a relatively quiet night. And they're only going to improve as the season progresses and they play together.

I just didn't understand why everyone wanted to dump on the Cowboys - that's a very dangerous team.

The safeties did nothing to help the cb's last night.

Only question I have bout the Boys, is their oline. If it can get healthy or better, look out.

Carr and Claiborne weren't shut down great last night, but they were far and away good enough. Just shows that if your offense can move the ball and score some points, your defense doesn't have to be epic.

Demarco Murray runs HARD. He plowed through some bitches, and he even hit his own teammates quite often.

And why the hell did he cut back on that huge gainer he had... why didn't he keep going?

Giving up 215 yards passing to the Giants on the road when you have a brand new corner in a completely different scheme than what he is accustomed to and a rookie corner playing his first game is pretty good.

Sweet Daddy Hate

I'm a 28 percenter. Folks forget that the Giants are like the Chargers - slow starters. Always barely make it in the playoffs.

What emphasized the difference between winning teams in this league and the Chiefs was the TD to Miles Austin.

1st and 30 from the Giants 40 midway through the 4th. Is there any question at all what the Chiefs would've done there? They'd have run the ball 3 times, picked up 6 yards and tried a 50 yard figgy. Since it's the Chiefs we're talking about, they'd have probably missed it.

What did the 'boys do? They freakin' attacked. Romo made a 'watch me' check at the line and took a shot at a weak spot in the Giants defense. In the end, that was the ballgame.

Good teams 'play to win the games' and that's what the Cowboys did there. I hate Jerry Jones with the heat of 1,000 suns, but there are some guys on that team that I really do enjoy watching play. Murray, Romo, Witten, Ware, Carr, Claiborne (hell, I even get a kick out of Dez). It's a team that's actually more fun to root for than you might think especially now that they wear the black hat so shamelessly.

I said basically the same thing in another thread, but the throw to Miles for the TD, wasn't really a great throw, it was a throw that allowed a playmaker to make a play. If the defender makes a good play and picks it off, more power to him.

At some point, as a qb in the NFL, you have to say "my athlete wr is a better athlete than your athlete CB and he's gonna go get this ball". It's something our qb hasn't done consistently. He will do it from time to time in the redzone, but shit, do it anywhere. If it's a pick, fine, move on.
