View Full Version : Chiefs Thomas Dimitroff/Arthur Blank humiliate Fat Scott/Clark

FloridaMan88

Clark's cheapsake coaching staff, a roster that sits close to $30 million under the salary cap and Fat Scott's wonderful offseason decisions (keeping Cassel, letting Carr walk, Peyton Hillis and his 1 yard per carry average) on full display today.

I would have loved a camera shot of Fat Scott's fat mug as Tony Gonzalez dunked the football in his fat face.

And where are the dumbshit homers on this message board who were once again out in full force after the Seattle preseason game, claiming there was no need to panic?

Today was a repeat of the Seattle preseason game.

Say hello to another 7-9 season.

First off, I'm 53 years old, so I am not nearly as old as you try to portray me.

Second, why is it you have to be so small that you need to call a guy a name that is a complete misnomer at this point.

I am not, and have never been happy with the first major decision that Pioli made, and until that is corrected, I don't expect anything from this team.

I am just not going to let my displeasure with that decision to make me bitter and angry with all things Chiefs.

Big fan Milkman...... But honestly..... This is a Third of the message board ..... they love this shit. Fans are not what they used to be.

Fans rightfully demand more than one playoff appearance every 5 years and zero playoff wins in 20 years.

The way "fans used to be" as you are yearning for, tolerated the Hunt family making millions upon millions on this franchise, while keeping GM's such as Jack Steadman and Carl Peterson employed for decades at a time.

Hopefully today's fanbase doesn't put up with such disgraceful apathy towards winning by the Chiefs.

I've argued for years that the Chiefs needed to build through the draft, rather than free agency as they did with Carl.

While I am not pleased with all the selections that Pioli has made, they have finally shifted to that team building philosophy.

So, I can't be angry with the philosophy.

Four years of draft picks and only on QB taken that Pioli selected in the 5th round. I love building throught the draft philosopy, but imo it starts with the QB. Untill then we arn't building anything.

I don't think Pioli has the balls to take one in the first even next year, but maybe if the fans put enough pressure on Clark to make him we will?

Doesn't matter. Pioli started when this team was 2-14, with a very nice set of toys drafted in 2008. However, its QB was Damon Huard/Brodie Croyle/Tyler Thigpen.

Chiefs sucked. They didn't have a franchise QB. And there was a franchise QB sitting there at #3 overall. It doesn't matter if you think Sanchez is any good or not. He was the right decision at the time, and Pioli instead said, "Pass. I'll fuck position value and squander this team's opportunity to draft a true franchise player. Much safer."

If we were so worried about throwing Sanchez out to the wolves and ruining his career because he was inexperienced, why not keep Damon Huard around another year? It would have been unbearable, but Huard was part of that gay shitty Patriot Way crap when Pioli was there. He knew all about Damon. Why not throw the veteran out there for a year to take the lumps and then start your dreamy sexy franchise QB the next?

RealSNR
09-13-2012, 10:47 AM
Hell, and Pioli could have saved our 2nd rounder, too. I'll bet the Patriots would gladly have still traded Mike Vrabel for a 5th rounder or something like that. Not that I especially loved Mike Vrabel when he was here, but there's no reason why drafting Sanchez in the 1st instead of trading for Cassel would have been this giant affront to Pioli's sacred Patriot religion.

Weeden was just an example. I would think that since you guys waited so long for a first round QB you guys would give the rookie QB a longer leash, but then again this place sure loves ripping on players.

You're dreaming.

I even think Cassel might not make it to the end of this season as the starter, if he's throwing INTs in clumps.

How would CP react if they drafted a QB in the first and he performs like Brandon Weeden did week 1?

Or how Luck performed with 3 picks?

This.

Sure, there may be guys that preach patience, but then again, this forum is full of Gochiefs-type guys that will just use it as an excuse to attack Pioli.

It's far too easy to predict.

"Y" QB throws for 300 yards and 3 TD's.

Our "X" QB throws for 150 and 3 ints.

"WHY DIDN'T PIOLI DRAFT 'Y'? FAIL GM NEEDS TO BE FIRED FOR SQUANDERING OUR OPPORTUNITY TO DRAFT A LEGIT FRANCHISE QB. Oh. And i told you so....we shoulda drafted 'Y' or 'Z' instead....i had been saying it all offseason..."

I was very, very patient with Matt Cassel.

Don't want to hear your BS.

Cassel is playing pretty well. If he continues to do so, and the system is designed around his limitations, I don't see how he's going to be replaced.

That was Cassel's best game this year!

Yeah, but that was the old "I love DVD" gochiefs. You were full homer in your younger days.

As long as it's not actually Brandon Weeden (who is doomed to fail miserably in this league) I'd absolutely be patient.

There's a difference between handing Tebow his first start and handing Andrew Luck his first start. Both didn't do very well at all. The difference is Andrew Luck just needs time. Tebow needs divine intervention.

I'd be patient with any young QB.

I've been very patient with Stanzi and haven't given up on him.

Ryan Tannehill would be a much better comparison. I think the overwhelming majority of fans would cut Ryan Tannehill a lot of slack his first and maybe even second year.

We're doing the same to Dontari Poe. The shock of drafting him has subsided, and now we're just placing extremely low expectations on him in his first year.

And judging by his first game, he's exceeding those expectations, for me at least.

Then again, im using Tyson Jackson's rookie season as a barometer.

Guy definitely had a good game. At this point I don't really care if Toribio comes back, especially if the Chiefs are just going to continue to be a shitty team.

Yep. I just cancelled my NFL Sunday Ticket. Got a $150 credit! So done watching the $HIT product known as the Kansas City Chiefs. It will be whatever is on the networks and NFL channel for me this season. So, looks like I'll be watching all the TEXANS and Cowboy games - both appear to be on par for good seasons and BOTH will be far more entertaining than the Chiefs. I wish the Chiefs the best, but I'm NOT about to waste another year watching their sorry asses stink up Arrowhead.

Any specific questions like that are hard to answer. Using Landry as example, he would probably have a lot of grief because many here are already soured on him. It would also depend how bad they were. Ryan Leaf won his first two games before he plummeted down to Earth. IMO Tannehill wasn't ready for this. They should have fallen back on Moore or Gerrard and moved him in slowly in mid season like the Giants did with Eli.

Sooner or later you have to let a young QB sink or swim. The plan should be to have a good understanding of the game as a base under them before you shove them off the ledge.
