There is no Patriot Way.

There is a great head coach and a great QB.

Of course, this combination has NEVER BEFORE been seen in the NFL, so let's get all self-important and write a book about a non-existent way to run a franchise as a model, and then sell it to some dumbass Midwestern franchise that will buy said bag of dicks.

Hopefully, a fired Peeholi will not get that chance.

Tom Brady and a good HC. Pioli had nothing to do with it unless he was the one fighting to draft Brady, which I'm sure he wasn't.

It's true. I was one who wanted Whitlock (and Dane, OTP, DCT, milk etc) to "wait and see" what Pioli could bring to this franchise.

I don't mind saying "You were right and I was wrong".

I don't buy the head coach bit, sorry. The Patriot Way is Tom Brady. A franchise QB makes everyone look smart.

Interesting you mention him because I was just thinking about how they compare with Elway/Shanahan. I don't think anyone thinks as highly of Shanahan and his system after watching it for many years sans Elway.

He's a very, very good HC. The guy knows his x's and o's and he makes great gameday decisions. I don't want to slap his name on the Lombardi trophy but he's been one of the best in the league for several years.

Coaching, while yes I agree important, is vastly overrated in professional sports. He's no different. If it weren't for Brady we don't know what his legacy would be. Coaches will even tell you that players make them look good. You or I would be in the HOF if we were coaching that team. I'm sorry, and I don't mean to dumb down football, but it's football. It's not rocket science, as Bill Walsh always said.

I don't discount Belicheat. He might not have won another SB yet, but he DOES know how to coach that team in to the running most every year.

And apparently, he's the one who knows how to the drafting at the final say-level.

NOT his bald-headed protege'.

Seems to me that the Patriot Way is using the rest of the league as a garbage can for their worn out trash.

Has anybody from New England coaching done anything worth a shit anywhere else? Crennel bombed in Cleveland and now he's bombing here. Weiss has either failed or bailed on everybody. We saw what McDaniels did to Denver. And Pioli is outsucking them all to the point where he makes Carl look like a genious.

the only one is that bozo on the Falcons but he was different from all the others that drank the Brady syrup and thought they were doing Brady a service with their coaching talents

We arn't doing it "the Patriot way" we are doing it "the Pioli way" wich sucks ass.

I don't want to do it "the Patriot way" I don't want to do it "the Pioli way"

I want to do it the way we should have tried in the last 20-30 years by drafting our own first round Quarterback and go from there. And try again till we get it right. We don't need the right 53, we need one right QB to lead the way and the players built around him that play hard and do there jobs.
