I believe Part 1 is on again this weekend on Discovery and then Parts 2 & 3 are yet to come.Very interesting series that is well worth the watch.

Yeah, I caught the first episode. There's a documentary on Netflix about the same topic, but Mike Rowe does a much more entertaining job of describing it. I definitely recommend giving it a watch.

Yeah, I researched and wrote the history of whiskey on Wikipedia a few years ago, and I still have the books I bought for it on my shelves. The whole history of alcohol in general is pretty fascinating and had a bigger effect on the history of the US (and the world) than most people think.
