I don't even think the spread is the problem. I think they are too conservative series to series, and then they try to make up for it later with a trick play or an isolated deep strike. We need to spread the field all the time, attack all the time, and exploit matchups like the one Moe had at the goal line earlier. The ball should be spread around, not shucking and jiving between the tackles behind a line that is decimated and can't block.

We need to quit trying to manage the game and attack when we have the ball. I think the staff has tried to adjust to the SEC by becoming more conservative like them, but we need to continue playing the way we play in most situations

So far we've played two of the best teams in the conference. It will be interesting to see if we can hang with the middle-of-the-road teams. If we can't even do that, some heads need to fucking roll.

Berkstresser throws a better ball than franklin

I'd rather see him in. For a team that runs 5 wide 95% of the time, Mizzou needs a QB that can throw the ball with some testicular fortitude. Berkstresser can get it to the sidelines in a hurry or fire lasers on slants, both of which Franklin fails at. Fuck, Franklin only picked up 6 yards on the ground today. Berkstresser may be slower, but he is a big damn body to bring down. I'm pretty sure he could have picked up at least 7 yards on the ground today.

Berk was running a game plan designed for Franklin. If the former is allowed to play to his strengths, we'd probably see much different results.

Franklin cannot throw, consistently, and he's not a dominant enough athlete to run against SEC defenses. If he's smart, Pinkel will think hard about making some big changes.

Insert Berk and run a playbook more similar to that run under Gabbert.
