LMAO

This is one pick Pioli nailed. Bravo.

Strief only gave up 2 sacks last year, BTW.

http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2012/09/new_orleans_saints_offensive_t_11.html

"I've never felt more individually responsible for the destruction of an offense before," Strief said. "I mean, I've just never been in a situation ... I mean, hats off to him (Houston). That's a game that you fear as a lineman. I had no answers. And I think I really gave us no chance to get anything going."

When asked if he was just talking about the sacks or other plays as well, Strief said, "I don't feel like I did a good job at any point in that game. ... I think I was physically and mentally beaten. And that's disappointing, because you just can't be in that situation. As a professional athlete, you can't be in the situation that I was in today."

When asked if he can attribute any of the team's struggles to the absence of Coach Sean Payton, Strief said, "I have a very hard time attributing what happened today to not having a head coach, because he can't block anybody. At the end of the day, I don't know what Coach Payton being here would have done to make me block somebody."

Houston is a completely different rusher than Tamba too. Houston was just bull rush jamming this dude all game and throwing him aside like a rag doll while Tamba tries to speed rush.

Houston is crazy fast out of the blocks. His first step is phenomenal. I mean, he's covering ground at an unbelievable rate before you know what's happening.

I've said it before, but his first step reminds me of James Worthy circa 1983 or so. His first move to the hoop was the killer and he was by you before you could react. That's the kind of move Houston has.

Unleash Derrick Johnson. Can you imagine the havoc of Hali, Johnson, and Houston all coming in? Or even if you randomly rushed two of the three. Unpredictability is the key to success in the NFL and not knowing which of the three is coming would be tough for offensive lines.

That's a tall order. Maybe... It's tough to get multiple sack games. He would need several more of those because I'm sure there will be games where he doesn't get a sack. I could be wrong though.

I didn't see the second half of Sunday's game due to the beautiful and witty Mrs. FAX's strange preoccupation with real life, however I did see (and I can't recall if it was an actual, live game thing or a replay deal) DJ execute an excellent delayed blitz. It was wonderful in every respect. He showed blitz, backed off, waited a millisecond for the line to occupy themselves, then blasted through clean as a whistle. The timing was perfect.

If I were Crennel, I'd show that early in a game to give the enemy o-line something to think about when they're calling out their assignments. With luck, that might help our d-linemen split their guys because somebody would have to have an eye out for DJ.

But, what I'm thinking of is pressure with our nose or stunts with one of the tackles so that the enemy QB cannot step up into the pocket ... because there is no freaking pocket!!!

If we could do that consistently, we could do some serious turf damage to any quarterback in the league.

Looks to me like Tamba is covering the RB.

Covering the RB. LOL

That does look pretty bad. However, it didn't look that bad from the camera angle from behind the defense.

I was watching espn and the guy said cassel had another great game. What am I missing on watching a different qb.

I have no doubt in my mind that many CP posters are more knowledgeable about the Chiefs than most pundits.

Houston seems like a mouthy prick out there too. I love it.

We dissect damn near every play of every game. We know our Chiefs. That's why so many of us are depressed all the time.

I watch a lot of NFL network, I swear to god I can't think of a SINGLE person there who knows jack about this team or know what they are talking about.
Maybe Sapp, the rest just scan game stats and highlights and that's it.

"Talk it if you walk it." That's what I always say. Except for sometimes, then I say, "Whack it if you pack it."

Generally, that's really all you need to know about life.

Playing the screen. He's actually the reason for the sack there.

I really, really wish that Romeo would just send 5 guys every play. Everytime he asks the LBs to drop out we just get eaten alive. Stop with all the fancy overthinking and just let our guys line up against their guys and play.

If I had the skills, I'd edit the scene from Bloodsport where Van Damme is riding the bus and sees the reflection of Bolo in the window, but instead of Van Damme and Bolo, it'd be Strief and Houston.

Yeah, great play by Hali there. Probably more impressive than the sack by Houston if you ask me.
