Breaking: Publicist Confirms Andy Williams has Died

BRANSON, Mo. -- Legendary crooner Andy Williams, has died, his publicist confirmed this morning.
Williams had been battling bladder cancer. He died at his home in Branson.

Paul Shefrin issued this statement:

Legendary singer Andy Williams passed away last night (Tuesday) at home in Branson, Missouri following a year long battle with bladder cancer, it was announced by his family. Williams, 84, who also had a residence in La Quinta, California, is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network. For information go to http://www.bcan.org

I remember as a young boy watching his specials with my Mom and Dad. Mom really liked him and he helped the Osmond family get their start.

He was also involved in a crazy murder story with his ex-wife and skier "Spider" Sabich where he really helped her.

Cool guy just like Bing Crosby and part of the dying generation most 20-30 year olds never got to watch.

He is a big reason Branson is what it is now.
Helped bring a lot of jobs to Missouri.

RIP Andy. As others have mentioned I was never a fan, but that is no condemnation, the Christmas specials were very popular.
One of the last stars left from Dad's generation. Dean Martin was my favorite of that era.

Two of his best, IMO.

His theater was the Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson...

Funnily enough there was whole evening about him on one the channels here in the UK a few weeks ago. Great singer but man was he stiff.
