We dominate the selections, though only 1 of our guys played for the Chiefs his entire career.

Our nominees are:

Ron Jaworski (also played a little for the Eagles)
Priest Holmes
Will Shields
Albert Lewis
Morten Andersen (also spent a little time with the Saints)
Nick Lowery
Curley Culp (one of the two senior committee nominees)
Bud Carson
Marty Schottenheimer
Dick Vermeil
Bobby Beathard (also spent time with a few other teams)
Bill Polian (I think he was with the Colts for a while, too)

My thoughts on who SHOULD go in (no particular order):

Cris Carter - Obviously some people don't like him, but he should go in. He's way overdue.

Larry Allen - Another obvious one. This guy intimidated other players.

Joe Jacoby - I have no idea how Russ Grimm is in and Jacoby isn't. Jacoby was far and away the best player on that line.

Will Shields - More pro bowls than fingers, and I'm sure he has at least ten fingers.

Everson Walls - One of the three best cover corners I've ever seen, along with Deion and Albert Lewis.

Kevin Greene - I have no idea why he's not in yet. He was a great player.

Bud Adams - All of those old AFL owners should go in.

Second tier (no particular order):

Randall Cunningham - Dominant at his peak, simply dominant.

Stanley Morgan - One of the best deep threats of his era. Very underrated.

Rod Smith - I gotta admit, he was very productive for a long time in multiple ways. But yeah, I hate him.

Charles Haley - I wasn't a fan, but he got things done.

Karl Mecklenburg - As a Chiefs fan, I hated this guy. But that was mostly because he was blowing up our weak 80s teams. I really hate him.

Albert Lewis - I hate to put Everson Walls above him, but I have to be honest.

Morten Andersen - Not just a kicker. The kicker.

Steve Sabol - Who doesn't love NFL Films?

Now, that's who should go in. But it's not who WILL go in. The NFL likes offensive scoring and they like the guys on the media shows, so I think the people who will go in are:

Larry Allen - Deserves it, and he's a Cowboy. Any doubts?
Bud Adams - It's time and he's old.
Steve Sabol - Emotional pick, but that's fine.
Jerome Bettis - I like him, but he's overrated. Whatever.
Charles Haley - Probably deserves it, and has a remaining shadow of Joe Montana
Andre Reed - Overrated, but he'll get in.
Warren Sapp - In the media. He's automatically in.

Get ready for it. You love Will and I love Will and we all know he's the greatest guard ever, but Larry Allen is a Cowboy with rings and is going to step in line in front of him.

I think contributors to the game don't have to be out for five years. Ralph Wilson went in with DT, and he's still the owner of the Bills.

It would be a goddamned shame if Parcells gets in before Flores. Not only was Flores once a Chief, he won two Super Bowls with two different QB's (before Parcells did it) and he was the first minority coach to win a Super Bowl.

Fucking Parcells is a media myth. Fuck that guy and his spawn.

I think the fact that Shields is a guard on a team that never made it to the SB or won one will hurt his chances for a while. Although he was dominant, guard is not that valued (remember the draft talk in regards to guards). I do think he will get in one day, but not for many years. If Cris Carter is still not in, there is no way Shields does. I do think Carter gets it this year as he is long overdue.

Cris Carter and Andre Reed should both have busts at the Hall of Good, which is on the next block over I think.

Larry Allen is just as deserving as Will Shields.
