im sure this has been covered buttfuckit. For me its Black Hawk Down. I know some of you are gonna say wwhhhaaaa. I had an uncle that was in the conflict and not only that but the book of the real story was sick... I understand Josh Hartnett's lame ass was the lead character but it was still a badass and imo one of the most UNDERAPPRECIATED war movies of all time.. what do ya say?

My favorite war movie is not really a movie. It's a documentary called, Baker Boys: Inside the surge. It's has a very personal meaning to me.

As far a actual war movie goes. I would have to say little known, 84 Charlie Mopic tops the list.

I like the beginning of it. The middle is a bit slow, and the end is interesting. But I could totally understand d the annoyance factor.

Of the first four you listed, I like Hamburger Hill the best. Saving Private Ryan had a great beginning and great ending, but the middle was meh. Never cared for Platoon at all. And Born on the 4th of July just went on too long (of course, when I saw it I was still on active duty, and that's not really going to be a military fan favorite).
