Report: Jets owner to push for Tebow

Interesting report (Read more › ) from long-time and well-connected Jets beat writer Rich Cimini of ESPN.com about how Jets owner Woody Johnson will eventually push for Tim Tebow to start at quarterback. In some ways, that might work out well for coach Rex Ryan and GM Mike Tannenbaum. If Tebow proves to be a bust, they would be off the hook for the whole Tebow mess and might get a reprieve if the season goes away.

Mark Sanchez may be the only QB in the NFL who is actually worse than Cassel.

Of all the QBs we could have spent the entire offseason in 2009 debating, we were debating these two turds.

LMAO

I won't lie. At one time I really wanted the Chiefs to draft Sanchez. I thought he was gonna be a badass, because at the time...

CP told me so.

Tebow might actually help them win a couple games with that high school offense they ran in Denver, they need to control the ball

I wasn't sold on Sanchez coming out of SC, but I've been kinda impressed with him so far in the pros. I wouldn't mind it.

I wanted Sanchez instead of castle just so we would have our own instead of sloppy seconds again.
Today Sanchez might get better castle won't. I would trade straight up in a heart beat.

I like the name CHunt

sounds filthy and degrading
and that should be done to any man who wears a suit to a football game

I will switch to the first team that the owner wears a tshirt and flip flops with a beer in his had

really love it if he as a cheer leader on his lap

Sanchez has, or is atleast close, to his peak. It would just make us waste another 3 years on a useless QB. Time to get our own QB straight out of the magical NFL draft.

Trade for a guy that was replaced by Tebow?

The jets took Mark Sanchez and ruined him by giving him a complete lack of weapons.
Trade for Braylon Edwards, the get a connection, trade for Holmes and they hate one another, so what do the jets do sign the cancer the qb hates. They haven't put any interior muscle in the o-line to help the "Ground n Pound" that Rex claims he wants but yet they throw an insane amount of time on third and short. The running backs are slow with no ability to make people miss.
If he was drafted by KC by someone other than Pioli than he may have had a chance with your guy's O-line, Bowe, and your hell on earth ground game he imo probably would have been a good qb

Exactly. He's awful too. I thought the goal was to get a bonafide stud of a franchise caliber QB, not another retread turd.

No no no this is impossible. I was told by many at CP that Sanchize was the the real deal, about his playoff wins and all that fucking nonsense blah blah blah.

Sanchez sucks. Always has, always will. Posters are so desperate at CP they want to draft ANY QB in the first round regardless of who it is. Just to say "we did". Dumb.

Sanchez had a bad game, the Jets are 2-2 and the NY fans/media are already calling for heads.

It took the KC media/fanbase 3+ years to finally get on Cassel. (Besides some of us)

Cassel should be lucky he got traded to KC and not NY where his career would've ended a year into his contract.

The problems with the Jets run much deeper than the qb but in NY the qb or coach get every once of blame regardless of what is going on.

This.

Sanchez has Grbac written all over him. Looks like he should be able to do it on paper but reality is just an entirely different matter.

Although Sanchez has been to two AFC championship games, but I'd credit the defense for much of that success.

It was obviously a fluke. Pitt doesn't play well in Pile High.

The other games he won last year, mostly out of sheer willpower, weren't a fluke.

He's obviously flawed as a QB but you're being deliberately narrow-minded.

It was awesome when he mindfucked Marion Barber into running out of bounds and then fumbling. He really is Jesus Jr!!!! ;) That was a charmed season out in Pile High and Elway knew it.
