Cassel's 2nd INT Bowe should have caught.

It was a horrible high thrown pass, but it was good enough to be caught.

A lot of the problem is that Cassel takes too long and the play has already developed by the time the ball is out. And it's usually an inaccurate pass and by then the WR is blanketed in coverage, which is exactly what happened on the first INT.

But Cassel just sucks in general....he doesn't throw a good ball....leaves WR hanging out to dry to where many times they are hit while they're making the catch.

He didn't do poorly today. Although I'd agree that one INT was just as much on him as Cassel. It was high but the thing still hit him in the face... gotta catch that.

I talked to a guy at the game last week that said he lived across the street from Donald Washington and that Washington and Bowe are pretty good buddies, so he'll chat Bowe up from time to time when he comes over to barbecue or something.

Evidently Bowe was over there after the Saints game just livid about Cassel getting guys hurt and getting him beat up. Said something like he was done getting himself beat to !@#$ for Cassel.

There's an excellent chance that Bowe's just flinching on these balls. Sure, you want him to put that in the back of his mind, but the guy is getting blasted every time he goes for a ball. Human nature is going to have you clinching up and if your body is tight and your muscles are tense, hands are going to be less soft, movement will be less fluid, etc...

Bowe's tired of getting blasted. Oh, and he's also rarely given an opportunity to catch the ball near his chest or without leaping up or lurching behind for the ball.

He'll be better immediately upon a new QB being put in place (in fact, he looked great on the balls from Quinn).

Sure that interception is on Bowe. Absolutely. Guess what? That doesn't absolve Cassel from his 19 other turnovers. The problem, dear Brutus, lies in the fact that these kinds of interceptions will happen. There will be dropped/tipped passes that go to the defense. Those should be the only interceptions thrown. You have to protect the ball, so that these kinds of turnovers aren't compounded with others.

oh, and Cassel sucks. High throws get receivers hurt. Hurt receivers flinch.

The first pick was good defense. If you fault anyone, you fault Cassel. Don't throw it to someone who is blanketed like that. The 2nd one, yes could have been caught, but it was high and kinda behind him. If that ball is even close to on target, it's a catch. The fault falls more on Cassel since it would have had to have been a fantastic catch. This happens with every pass of his, every single one of them.

Watching Quinn throw that pass to Bowe was the first time I can remember seeing a WR being hit in stride in a long time. Bowe never gets to make plays after the catch because it always has to be a circus catch.

It was high AND behind him, that one was not on Bowe.
