I will be there for the day Wednesday. I have very little money to spend. What can I do? Anyone want to meet up at TGI Friday's? Best friend has Bar Champs Regionals there, and he has testing all day. Another of his friends is coming that I've never met before, so I hope she's cool.

It's not a happy place but everyone should really visit the Memorial downtown at least once. It is very well done.

It's not bad. Bricktown isn't too shabby. It's not a notch below KC though.

great Indian and Mexican Food in OKC. Gopuram for Indian, Chelino's for Mexican. Bricktown is cool. Bombing Memorial/Museum is compelling and somberly beautiful. If you have time to catch a movie, check out the Warren Theatre in Moore. Also, "Pops" in Arcadia has every bottle of soda pop you could imagine.

Just a few miles outside of town is the best fried chicken on Earth. The place literally only serves tea, beer, and coffee. It's incredible chicken. Oklahoma's oldest bar.

I used to go to OKC for roller skating meets, but I was about 10 years old the last time I was there. Isn't that where a place called Molly Murphy's is at? That's the only place I remember.

This magical Braum's you speak of is nowhere to be found up here. The Braums that is here can mess up a single scoop of vanilla and a plain burger. Time and time again.

I live here. Its not bad, at least its not Missouri.

Bricktown has just about everything you want or need for entertainment. OF course you could head up to Ocarche and eat at Eischen's...

There are plenty of unique places to eat. IF you want more info, PM me and I will get you my number.

What is Bar Champs Regionals?

It's a TGI Fridays thing. There's a written test, a pouring test, a mixing test, and a flair competition. They hold this in all of their stores that wish to participate. The winners at the local levels go to regionals. The winners at all of the regionals go to nationals. Kind of a way to keep bartenders in the loop and on their toes.

Is it flare instead of flair? Where you toss bottles around while you make drinks. Think Cocktail with Tom Cruise.

This is so interesting to me. We have Braum's around here, and no one raves about them at all. Like... they're somewhere between Hardee's and Burger King. they are awesome for cheap ice cream, though.

I've seen similar feelings expressed toward Sonic by people from places that they aren't common, though.

No. There are a few people on here who feel that Braum's is like the best fast food ever. Like I said, I'd seen similar feelings expressed about Sonic (one person I remember even posted about driving two hours to a Sonic because one had opened that "close" to him).

Meh, Sonic's food is crappy, but people love the drinks and desserts. Personally, I love Braum's burgers but I've had much better ice cream.

Not to hijack, but (around here) if you catch Braums on a good day, it the best fast food burger you'll lock a lip on. You'll probably get that 3 outta 5 visits.

It is closed. They have done some reunion nights at some other places with the old staff.

It was a cool place. I wish it was still around.

Bricktown is pretty much the spot. If you want to see a movie the Warren Theater in Moore is tremendous.

As Re-Run said Eichens is really good if you can make it out there.

Not a lot to do here when basketball season isn't going. Good place to raise a family though.

Quail Spring Mall up on Memorial. After arriving, we dropped off my friend and found a Starbucks in a Super Target...lol. Then spent the morning walking the mall. They actually sell Proactiv in vending machines? Anyway, we were getting ready to find a new adventure when we came across Picasso To Go. We painted some pottery, and the woman glazed it. Had to bring it back here to have it fired due to time. Anyway, picked up friend from his daytime testing, and we went out to Bricktown and walked the riverwalk thingy. Drove around for a little bit, and then went to watch the flair portion of the competition before driving back to Springfield. I like Bricktown, at least for the few hours I was there. Don't have to go too far to find a shady neighborhood.
