Programming does not entail live sports like basketball and MNF.

Midnight SportsCenter when they switch to Los Angeles is pretty good.

once in a great while, mostly watch NFL network.

99 percent of the 30 for 30's are good though.

OTL, SC, Baseball Tonight, NFL Live all now and then.

I watch Monday Night Countdown and College Gameday but that is about it.

The only time I'll watch SC is when I'm in a hotel room on a trip. And I really only leave it on for background noise.

Almost never. Even when I start to they always end up getting Stu Scott or some other moron on there that starts doing, "funny" schtick and I remember how much it sucks and change the channel.

I used to. All they do is talk Tebow and I refuse to watch anymore ESPN until Tebow is out of the league.

I watch ESPNews. It's the only ESPN channel I get. It's the only sports channel of any kind I get, for that matter. Sometimes I go looking for Public TV or TV Guide Network or something when I can't stand it anymore.

DaFace

I voted "no" because 30 for 30 is all I ever watch, and that's so different that I'm not sure it should count.

Nope. Haven't watched it for years.

ModSocks
10-26-2012, 03:21 PM
Nah.

I use to record NFL Live, but then realized their entire 30 minute segment is covered in about 5 minutes on NFL Total Access.

It's probably been 2+ years since ive watched any of their programming.

My favorite show used to be NFL Primetime with Berman/Jackson on Sunday nights after all of the games.

Then they got rid of it and started doing The Blitz which sucks ass. The NFL Primetime current cast is garbage. Infact, I hate the majority of ESPN analysts.

Even though Berman is annoying as all hell I liked Primetime, it was the best place to see highlights of all the games without any stupid baseball, basketball and other nonsense I have no fucking interest in. I still don't understand WTF they were thinking when they went to The Blitz.

NFL Matchup was cool, but last I knew it was on at like 2am Sunday... shows where their priorities are at.

I quit watching when they went weeks talking about nothing but Vick and Tiger Woods (I think there was a 3rd big drama around that time, too)... that was the big transition towards becoming TMZ.

I used to. But the channel fucking sucks. It's like when MTV got taken over by reality TV. I don't care anymore whose butt Tebow sniffed or what new way for LeBron to talk about how he's being disrespected over something nobody said at all.

Admittedly, my first go-to for sports is espn.com. Sadly, I think it's still the easiest site to navigate.

They are. Am I the only one that thinks they've gone really far downhill? I saw the one about broke athletes and even the KU documentary. And they were just boring.

Not so long ago i swore to haunt them until their deaths.

Yet recently, i have started to see glimpses of cognisance of the fact that their is, believe it or not, a real live NFL football team in Kansas City, from espn... a franchise so steeped & storied that the conference champ trophy bears the founders name... want a real story? there are currently several to be mined in Kansas City.

Chadiha, Schefter, among other flashes, has restored my faith enough to atleast let me watch Countdown without guilt, not forcing myself to watch the tired, low energy fox (outside of glazer) & cbs crews.

But their www still sucks ass, O competition to SI & Fox.

NFL Network 99% of the time, sportscenter 1% of the time.

I don't think I'll be watching any of the sports channels anytime soon. My baseball season ended last weekend. The Chiefs are an embarrassment, and Missouri is somehow even more of an embarrassment. Don't care to see highlights of either getting their asses kicked by [insert opponent name here], or the talkingsportsheads endlessly felating Brady and the Mannings. And I have no interest in basketball and almost no interest in hockey, which isn't being played anyway because of the strike. So fuck 'em.

30 for 30, that is it. I watch all the channels dedicated to the actual sport now, although NFL Network is as big a joke with their anchors as ESPN is.

Couldn't tell you the last time I watchd sports center or any of their other round table type analysis with former players or media guys who have probably never played a sport in their lives.

As a displaced fan, I used to eagerly tune in hoping I would catch a glimps of the Chiefs but, as soon as I got the internet in the early 90's, besides live games, fuck ESPN

I do...but I don't like it. Don't really have a variety of options. And I do love the 30 for 30 stuff. The Marinovich Project is one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time. I couldn't believe they were actually able to humanize that Faid scumbag.

I know it's the cool thing to do to hate ESPN... and that's their fault for having so many idiotic hosts and so many lowest common denominator type shows built to appeal to people with no quest for real insight or discussion... but there are a few things worth watching.

Outside The Lines. Bob Ley is a good reporter and never has any Stuart Scott Moments.

30 For 30... shows that the big heads at the network still give some value to something deeper than than a sink.

Baseball Tonight. If you're a baseball fan it's a pretty well done and informative show and Carl Ravich is a good host.

I realize we can't like a couple things on a network that used to be much better overall because we have an all or nothing mentality about these things but there is some good stuff. Saying everything on ESPN sucks is just something I find silly. I doubt people with that opinion even know what's on anymore because they aren't watching.

stevenidol
10-27-2012, 11:46 PM
None. ESPN is way more about entertainment than they are sports at this point. They have taken the TMZ model and applied it to every one of their programs. 30 for 30's are good, but since the rest is complete trash I avoid the channel altogether. The 30 for 30's are on netflix now anyways, so I can watch them whenever I want.

CoMoChief
10-28-2012, 12:00 AM
I sure as hell try not too anymore unless it's MNF, 30 for 30 and maybe an episode of SC at night.

They've gotten so bad with the larger market east coast bias, it's completely turned off the rest of the country. If I grew up and lived in BOS or NY I'd probably love ESPN.

I don't have cable, so I could only watch ESPN by bootlegging on the internet. I won't even watch MNF unless the Chiefs are on. If someone can explain to me how they get any enjoyment from the inane bullshit on Around the Horn or PTI, I would love it.

I was thinking that too. This is a board made of sports fans but the majority don't watch any of the biggest sports network on tv. Yeah right.

Like I said earlier it's not cool to watch anything on ESPN.
