GRINNELL, Iowa—Jack Taylor scored 138 points to shatter the NCAA scoring record in Division III Grinnell's 179-104 victory over Faith Baptist Bible on Tuesday night.

Taylor made 27 of 71 3-point attempts, was 52 of 108 overall from the field and added seven free throws on 10 attempts in 36 minutes.

Rio Grande's Bevo Francis held the NCAA scoring record with 113 points against Hillsdale in 1954. In 1953, Francis had 116 against Ashland Junior College.

The previous Grinnell record was 89 by Griffin Lentsch last Nov. 19 against Principia.

they dont play defense. that is their plan

Let the other team shoot so they get the ball back

I will look forward to some one close to the program to fill in more.

can't wait to see some video

Yeah, I'd love to see this game. This seems completely impossible.

Yeah Grinnell is famous for their run and gun basketball.

The funny thing is one guy for Faith Baptist went 34-44 shooting for 70 points. Nobody will be talking about him tomorrow though.

Any player that scores an absurd amt of pts vs Grinnel shouldn't even count. They sometimes intentionally allow u to score so they can get down the court and chuck up a three.
