View Full Version : Football Colin Kaepernick: Fucking Stud or "Cassel In The Pan"?

You have to admit:

For a guy stepping in, he has been damned fucking impressive. Of course, so was Shat Casshole when he stepped in for Brady.

Where does the truth lie?

Also, for further discussion purposes:

If for some god-forsaken reason we are stuck with Pissholi and he refuses to draft a 1st round QB, would you oppose trading for CK, and possibly being on the receiving end of a "Gannon" for once in our miserable lives.

Discus.

Fail of a poll, imo.

Option's are stud or Cassel (one of the worst QBs in the league)

Where is the option for "middle of the road never accomplish anything?"

If not Geno, then is there truly anyone else you would want to take with that pick for QB?

If Kaepernick continues to play well, the 49ers will likely keep him as their starter in 2013 and dump Alex Smith.

This makes the premise of your thread completely useless.

I thought he was rad as heck in college but not "stud NFL QB" level. He could be pretty darn good, though, and I'm happy he's doing well so far. Certainly has more indicators for a successful career than Cassel ever had, and his first bit of NFL success isn't coming with the goddamn Pats offense.

Kaepernick makes plays that Cassel never ever has. He could still bust, but his ceiling is way, way above where Cassel's was on his brightest day. The best thing that anyone ever said about Cassel is that he has the right attitude and works hard. Kaepernick actually has some real talent.

He turned an average QB into a barely above average QB. Can people stop acting like Alex Smith was EVER a good QB? He wasn't good last year and he wasn't good this year. He's been above average playing under Harbaugh.

Is turning an average QB into an above average QB a big enough accomplishment to call someone a QB guru?

ROFL You still haven't explained how Harbaugh is a QB guru for turning an average QB into an above average QB. All the coaches I've mentioned did more for their QBs than Harbaugh did for Smith. He basically did what Weis/Haley did for Cassel in 2010 except in his case, he had a QB that actually had NFL talent and was a 1st overall pick.

Hell, Cassels 2010 was better than Smith's 2011. And Smith played 2 more games against NFC West teams.

Smith would have been playing in the SB if it weren't for 2 muffed punts.

Cassel wishes he never made the playoffs in 2010.

That whole "he was 2 plays away from the SB" argument is stupid and you know it. Smith wasn't a good QB last year. He was the epitome of game manager.

Smith went, what, something like 19/19 two weeks ago?

You think a guy with his level of talent does that without someone coaching and scheming him to it? making him much better than he actually is.
