I'm terrible with excel and can't find any good templates to use online.

I really need to make a 'Restaurants' in the area table list in the form of a 'flyer' to give to guests staying at a hotel so they know what restaurants are in the area. Name of restaurant and phone number.

Anyone have a minute to set something up via excel so I have something to copy and paste on to word or anything? I'm stuck and I am excel illiterate. I don't understand it, I wish I would've taken an excel class.

yeah, I don't use it very often, but it's definitely a skill I wish I had...maybe I'll sign up for a class one of these days

You need to figure out how to make 2 columns? You don't even need excel, you can just insert a table into Word.

If you're going to cut and paste into word, why not just create a simple list there in the first place?

this is probably what I'll end up doing but I'd like for it to look a little more professional

I have guests asking me nonstop for restaurant lists, places that deliver, fine dining, casual, mexican, etc...

and I'd like to update our list today; It's my one project. It's very slow.

If you want it to look good, just do it in Word with a table. Excel could do it, but if you're not doing any calculations or anything, Excel's probably just overcomplicating things.

Just give them chop sticks and tell them "it's all the bed bugs you can eat."

I was struggling with word tables as well...but maybe I'll play around with it some more. I have 5+ hours to get this done.

Make the top row your column titles
Paste your info in
Click on the column width thing and it can auto adjust to fit your wording
On the toolbar you will find a borders drop down
Put a border around that shit
You can change cell colors on the toolbar to differentiate between delivery, dine in, etc
Print preview and fit to page
Print and profit

Good luck

Restaurant name , phone number, cuisine type, delivery or dine in, distance in miles
Arby's,8165767610,fast food sandwiches, dine in, 2
Minskys, 8165767989, pizza, dine in, 2.3

copy that and import into excel using comma delimination. That's a start

Pee in the general direction of the restaurant. The longer the stream, the longer the distance.
