Mitch will take Andy Reid, Kstate over Oregon, Mitch would trade down and trade for Kirk Cousins....would take Geno if he were forced to pick a QB in the draft...

Bullshit! Being more involved doesn't mean undermining his coaches and players like Jerry has been doing.

That's a slap in the face of Jerry.

Jerry wants to win and will spend $$ to do so.

Clark just wants to make $$ and be loyal to a fault all before winning.

LMAO Where have you been all my life? All Clark need to do is know when to hire and fire and who. That's it.

Bullshit! Being more involved doesn't mean undermining his coaches and players like Jerry has been doing.
True, that was an over exaggeration on my part.

Then it's not working.

And the whole, Hunt just wants to make money thing, is so easy to refute. If he didn't care and all he wanted was money, he could sell the team and go into other business avenues that would make more money, and require less of his time and energy.

Some people just shouldn't be HC's.

Romeo is one of them. He's not a multi-tasker.

There were many times where he is just in awe, and looks spaced out like he doesn't know what the fuck is going on - then similarily he says shit in press conferences like "I don't know why x/y/z happened". I think being HC is just too much for him to handle.

Marcellus
12-31-2012, 02:07 PM
Said Pioli will not be talking to the media, no press conference.

He will personally find the coach and then circle back around to GM.

Sounds like Pioli is fired and Clark could give a shit about a GM.

bobbything
12-31-2012, 02:07 PM
He has hamstrung Pioli. Hunt has basically said that "I'm handling if from here. Just collect your paycheck and sit in the corner."

Won't phrase it as "The new coach will determine whether Pioli is here or not." Says, "There needs to be chemistry between GM and coach."

It sounds to me like Pioli is done.

Okay.

I am officially no longer concerned about Clark Hunt. That was a very, very impressive interview. He's stepping up and Pioli is now a minor side issue which will either disappear of its own accord, or Clark will can his ass outright as deserved.

I wasn't planning on posting again this year, but this is so encouraging I was compelled to do so. The news is this; Clark isn't stupid. In fact, he has a clear understanding of what has transpired and, more importantly, why. For the first time in years, I feel as though the owner "gets it".

Moving forward, my advice to Clark would be to speak through the media to the fans more often. He has the ability, willingness, and wallet to make a difference ... all he needs to do is add his voice so that we know what he's thinking and that he's sincere. I predict he'll be a better owner (wins/losses wise) than Lamar. He gave the Executive Of The Decade a shot and I don't blame him for that ... not one iota. Now he gets to see the second pitch and I expect him to get good wood on it.

Well written Mr. Fax. It would still make me feel a lot better to see Pioli officially gone, but if he is locked in an office with no bathroom and only Mr. Pibb to drink with no power, then I don't care if he stays. But if our new HC is basically a GM in a box, I am all for it!

So no, that would be a silly move on his part.

First, Pioli surrendering millions would be equivalent to Bob Dole surrendering a few thousand, unless his financial planning is on par with the average NFL rookie.

Second, the whole thing would come AFTER meeting with Clark and negotiating a graceful out.

"I was hired to improve this franchise, and I have failed to do so. It is painfully clear that my very presence, at this point, is a major distraction and an impediment to future success. Let's work something out and move on."
