View Full Version : Chiefs Soren: Bill Cowher Not Interested

Ace Gunner

He said it on the radio just a few minutes ago. Said Cowher is not going to field any team this season, has zero interest in leaving the media.

I yield the floor to the Cowher wackos.

Bill Cowher is a brand these days -- the Corporates line up for him whenever the line to him gets lean.

My guess is, he'll never return to coaching. Why take a chance ruining your brand.

WTF are you talking about? Lol.

The subject was debated. It's not like anyone actually THOUGHT he was coming out of retirement.

I figured as much as soon as it was reported that Clark was flying out to interview Andy Reid.

Get used to this, until cHunt has the sense to get rid of Pioli this will keep happening, until the Chiefs are down to Cordinators nobody even wants as Codinators. Once Polly is gone the coaching field will get a lot better, hope cHunt has the sense to pull the trigger soon.

If it came from Soren, then there's a pretty good chance the opposite is true.

I'm pretty sure Cowher was basically the guy Clark was talking about in all those interviews that he wanted to bring in, based on the fact that everything he said fit what Cowher specifically is rumored to want in a job.

Whether he wants to do it or not is a completely different story.

But based on the fact that Marty is said to be an advisor, you can read the tea leaves.

Great news.

I'd much prefer a coach with the ability to coach in today's NFL and not one stuck in yesterday.

I was going to post this as well. He did say he had several strong feelers out there and thought about them, but he is enjoying broadcasting.

Basically Cowher's interview and Marty's intel from earlier all confirmed that Clark did contact Cowher about the job.

DV is a perfect example.

DV was a rare case in which several factors allowed him to grow. First he was doing things the same old way and then he had a training camp revolt. If that wouldn't have happened I doubt he'd have went anywhere. The next thing going for him was his age. He simply was unable to pull the same load as he used to. This allowed for greater delegation. Without his openness to delegating responsibilities I really, really doubt DV wins a superbowl in ST.L. and has the success that we had here.

Watch him bring in Norv Turner.

I doubt it pays like an NFL head coach, but I'm guessing it's in the millions. With A LOT more time at home with the kids and such. So yeah, probably a GREAT gig.
