Andy Reid hasn't called plays in awhile. Why do you think Childress wouldn't be the play caller?

Childress didnt call the plays when he was in Philly?

I think a lot of things at the end of Andy's run were because he was being strongarmed by GM, President, Owner, etc.

Gave up a lot of duties, changed his staff constantly, tons of FAs being brought in

i think he is really going to go back to what was the most successful for him in his approach here in KC. That's all.

It's not going to be some slapdick like Marty Morningwieg calling plays. Andy is going to bring in the people he knows that he had the most success with. Him and Childress are like BEST friends and have been for a long time. They will be a collaborative effort unlike the Spy Games from ***** and Todd Haley and the cold war tactics of backstabbing the OC or HC like we have seen the last 4 years here. There is truly hope for consistency with Childress + Reid based off their relationship.

Nick Wright said he got a cryptic message from Haley saying something like 'That sick fuck is even taking advantage of this' the night before the Peter King/Pioli story came out about how he tried to talk him down etc.

Wright said he immediately called Haley, and he didn't answer, nor did he answer any texts.

All of this was said during an interview on this guys podcast~

Philadelphia Eagles (1999-2005)
Childress joined the Philadelphia Eagles for the 1999 NFL season, and helped the team to three consecutive trips to the NFC Championship game (2001–03), and a Super Bowl trip in 2004.[9] Andy Reid, the Eagles' head coach, had previously worked with Childress at Northern Arizona University, a staff that also included future NFL coaches Bill Callahan and Marty Mornhinweg.[4] Childress did not call plays, this responsibility was taken by Andy Reid. He did receive credit for his work with quarterback Donovan McNabb, who was named to five Pro Bowls during his time with Childress.[10]

You couldn't sell me on Childress to be the HC, but reuniting him with Reid as the OC is something that makes a ton of sense for both.

What I like about the Reid hire is that his coaching tree has deep roots.

He knows what he's getting when selecting his staff. Todd Haley's coaching tree only contained a trunk. That's why I don't like hiring the hot coordinators.

And by the way, I'm going to laugh at the team that hires the Bronco's OC. That dude didn't get a sniff when Orton and Tebow were under center, but now with Manning he's a Fu@king genius. Yeah right.

Former AFL QB

Philadelphia Eagles

Nagy was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles on August 10, 2009 after an injury to backup quarterback Kevin Kolb. Nagy had been working for the Eagles as a coaching intern prior to his signing. The NFL disapproved his contract the following day. Philadelphia disclosed at a press conference that they would not pursue a re-signing of Nagy, but that he would continue to be a coaching intern for the team. He was promoted to coaches assistant on February 9, 2010.[2] He was promoted to offensive quality control coach on March 2, 2011.
