Bumped into one of my favorite players tonight and introduced him to my almost 6 months old "Zane". I think this pic will play nicely in his baby album.

Nah. I'm not an autograph hound. I'd rather chat.

Sadly, I'm too young to have seen him as a player. Thankfully, I'm old enough to remember meeting him a few times at his old restaurant.

He's amazing with kids. I'd sit and watch him entertain children for hours without any inclination to "change the channel".

I agree with this. I've asked for an autograph maybe 5% of the time I've met famous people. I just don't care about autographs.

Likewise. I've bump into him often around town. He doesn't live that far away. He and his wife helped to advise 37 Forever when we were trying to gain traction in KC.

Pretty quick. He had a grandson in the same choir performance as my daughter. I waited for him to finish conversing with family and snapped a pic quickly. Congratulated him on the new regime at Arrowhead and he expressed approval that he's happy with the change. I knew his family was waiting so I wrapped it up. Then I snapped a picture of his family with their camera and excused myself. He's so gracious he would have given us much more time though. I just refuse to put these guys on a pedestal and worship them so I treat them with the same courtesy I would anybody else.

A pic with the person is 1000x better than a scribble on a piece of paper.

I don't even have those. I think StevieRay has one of Lamar, he and I somewhere but I didn't even save it when he posted it here.

That's cool. I'm so happy that he's still so involved with the organization.

And I'm sure he's happy that Scott Pioli is gone.

Nobody had it worse than the ex-players.

Yea, i hope this new regime embraces the team history, community and fanbase instead of trying to ignore it.

Thanks. That's probably the least cute picture he's ever taken. Little man can light up a room with the tiniest grin. We're very blessed.

Too bad, having a kickass autographed onesy/picture/story to tell the kid would be sweet~

It's just not my thing. I'd rather buy an autographed item at a charity auction. The only time I ask is if I'm donating an item and need an autograph to boost the value. The exception I'm going to make soon is the old print I have that is signed by Hank Stram, Lamar, and Len Dawson who are all pictured. The only autograph missing is Deron Cherry who is pictured as part of the 40th anniversary of the Chiefs.

Bobby Bell was the main reason I became a Chiefs fan of over 40 years now. The Chiefs came to my hometown after the Super Bowl win in the Spring of 1970 and played a charity basketball game. I was 10 at the time and a bunch of us kids stood behind the basket where the Chiefs were warming up and threw the errant balls back to them. Bobby came up to me and rubbed my head since I had a butch haircut and called me 'Eskimo'. Made me feel as big as him that day

Ah the good old days...Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Willie Lanier, Lenny throwing the ball, Otis catching it. The defense fucking up Biletnikoff(those sleeves should have been illegal) ...gawd I hated Lamonica. Good times.

Oh and good looking kid Phob.
