NFL Logos Through the Years

Found this image today, and I thought I'd share it. It's kind of cool to see them all lined up side-by-side like this, and there are some interesting bits as well. Take the Steeler's 1944 logo, for instance; evidently, the Steelers and Cardinals combined teams for a year due to a lack of players caused by the war.

In one respect I agree but then on the other hand simplicity say's it all.

Now with that being said, I like you Deberg have always wondered could our Chiefs logo get even better without being too Arena gaudy looking if you know what I mean.

I'm not an artist nor am I a computer graphic photoshop guru kind of person but I would like those who are that are on this board to come up with some serious upgrade ideas and then we can have a poll and vote !!!

My idea for a new logo if it could be done right, would take the face of a Chief Warrior and contort the face that would resemble KC somehow. Who are our CP artists that could do this ??

Modern day logos mostly match what is on the helmet. If you go back in time, many of these logos did not appear on the helmet. There were also helmet designs in use not shown here. Most people probably know this, but just in case anyone had any doubts.

If you watch any Chiefs videos or any chiefs pics from before the 70s or 80s, the logo was that way a lot. I've always wondered why.

I don't think you're looking at the picture correctly.

Even if this was a reverse pic, KC is to the right side of the arrow, not the left.

Reversing the image wouldn't change that.

Do not believe that is a mirror image. Men's jackets/sports coats have the pocket on the left just as it shows in Hank's pic.
