If Carl Peterson had not been fired?

I wanted him gone. I'm glad he's gone. I never want him back.

But can you imagine, if he'd have still been here, that this team would make any different type of moves?

Didn't Herm say he'd have drafted Matt Ryan..?

Carl Peterson recently has said he would never draft a QBotf in the first round. NEVER.

We need Herm to draft them.
Marty to coach in the regular season.
Vermeil in postseason.

And I feel dirty for typing that.

I feel dirty for saying this, because Carl was basically incompetent as far as football decisions go, but they'd be in better shape now. Pioli just happened to be more incompetent. I think Carl would've kept fielding competitive teams, just not good ones.

Hell, if we're talking about in their prime? I'm taking Levy.
Innovative offense? Check
Winner? Check
Won in playoffs? Check

NO doubt in my mind this team would have been better off keeping Carl.

no. It'll be exactly the same.

bad # 2 WR
TE who can't stay healthy for more than 4 games at a pop.
No 2nd CB worth a fuck.

The more I look at Peterson he was far from an incompetent as a football man. Actually he might be more of a genious that we give him credit for. He knew exactly what to do make this town go bonkers and crave more while never getting over the top. He might be the greatest sports marketing man in history while controlling a team as well.
