The media are whore mongers and at this time of year every sports media outlet is starving for anything worthy of reporting. Is it conceiveable that the 49ers and the Chiefs are pulling a fast one?

I almost posted this earlier. It seems like such a bad deal, but I just can't imagine why the Chiefs would have not denied it by now.

If Schefter reports it, it is probably going to happen.

This.

He's been wrong before, but not many times.

There's no way in hell the FO gave Clayton, Glazer and/or Schefter the okie-doke.

I'm not even clear what the benefit to the Chiefs would be if this is a smokescreen.

Unnecessarily wasting draft picks makes it much much more than a smokescreen.

And don't forget that there's no fucking reason for a smokescreen when we have the #1 fucking pick.

What would the Chiefs even be smokescreening? You have the first overall pick.

If Glazer hadn't broke it, then its possible to be a smokescreen. But he is too good of a reporter to that.

Yeah, they are driving the price of foles down and making Arizona overpay for Alex.

I think a smokescreen could be a possibility, but not from the Chiefs FO. The 9ers stand to gain the most from this by pitting the Chiefs and Cardinals against each other. I'm not saying that it is likely, but this could work out well for SF if the Cards step in and throw something better than what the Chiefs are reported to do. I can't imagine what the would be, but maybe some players and picks. Hell, I just want this all to go away and to begin the great Geno experiment.

If the Chiefs renege on an agreed trade no other FO will deal with them.

All signs have pointed to this for a while now.
