Much like the Wildcats' asshole after they played KU both times this year. :thumb:I would have much rather lost to KU twice rather than losing to a 2-16 TCU team. Then you get a win at home against ISU only because their coach is a moron and didn't foul on the last possession, then win at their place because of a non-call that was so bad the Big XII had to discipline the refs over. We lost to OSU (a Top 15 team) team today on their home court. You guys lost to them a little over a month ago and then took it two OT's to get your win against them to avoid a sweep. Your elite team had the out right conference win served up on a platter today. Your boys knew we lost and then they trotted out and got served their worst lost in 7 ****ING years to an unranked sub .500 league team we just beat at the same place last week they they just punked you guys at today. If this was some regular moron spewing this shit I wouldn't care, but as soon as things started looking bad for you today you started spewing this #1 tournament seed and the season sweep shit. On a day when both our teams played like shit everyone is being gracious and classy throwing out playful jabs, but you're being an ass. You might even say you've been spewing this dumbassery all day just trying to get a K-State fan to respond like this, but that's bullshit. And that is exactly what happened. People didn't go to games in the eras of Altman, Asbury and Wooly. Yet the admin just trotted them out there not giving a fuck. I remember so well after Wooly's FIFTH season of not finishing above .500 in conference I quit going and informed the AD I would never go back if they gave him a sixth year. And they STILL gave him another year. The Powertard mantra was : "But Wooly is SO close" to delivering a winner. Which was horseshit.

It's interesting that you posted what you did. Because that kind of thinking is what FINALLY gave impetus to the hiring of Bob Huggins. Obviously you weren't here at the time, but the move was quickly panned by the resident tards.

Is the Bowflex Bowl still nationally recognized when played against the Catholic Basketball Conference?

No question.

A Big XII Football title + Fiesta Bowl Loss > Orange Bowl win + North Division Co-Champ.

And it's not even close.

Totally agreed. Sagarin put 07 Kansas #2 in his final rating, 12 KSU at #8. While you are correct that's not close, it was still a very good football season in Manhattan this year.

Finishing in 3rd place in your conference without beating a ranked team all year isn't even in the same ball park as actually earning a Fiesta Bowl bid by winning your conference and beating 4 ranked teams(2 of them on the road).

Too bad Sagarin isn't reality. KSU would wipe the floor with the 2007 KU team.

Pretty sure KU beat the #5 team in the country that year. Dumbass.

Either way, winning 9 straight conference championships in a major sport is by far the greatest accomplishment in the Midwest sports history. It's not even close.

Technically, Va Tech was #1 in the computer portion of the BCS and #3 in the overall rating. After the loss to KU they finished 9 in Sagarin.

Pretty sure that they didn't play a ranked team all year to earn a bowl bid, dumbass. Oh yeah, they played one and lost causing them to finish 3rd and play an almighty ACC football powerhouse. Tech would have been the 5th best team in the Big 12 that year.

Being a national champion trumps all.

Just keep pounding your chest about beating an ACC team in football. LSU beat Tech by 41 that same year. I guess Sagarin forgot about that.

I don't think he forgets about anything. It's all incorporated into his ratings, just like your blowout loss to Baylor was this year.

It got them a BCS bowl game championship did it not?

Here's what MU fans seem to forget or simply just can not understand. It's not KU's fault that MU's athletic director is an incompetent pos. KU's AD did what it took to make the selection committee select them over MU.

Was it a bullshit decision? Of course, MU was a better team and beat KU that season. But hate the game, not the player. Had the right decision been made, it'd be MU fans pounding their chests about beating an ACC team, not KU fans.

It's not a sports thing, relax. Kansas State University is an agriculture school, University of Kansas is the flagship university in the state.

You and I should exchange tax returns sometime and see where that "flagship university" has put you in life, and where my "Ag School" has put me. Should be fun...........o:-)

You seem to be quite confused. MU did beat KU, but then - TCU beat KU in basketball last month too. So what? In fact, OU beat them twice that year, but lost 3 other games and finished behind MU in the final polls. Head to head was meaningless.

The computer rankings had MU #4 and KU #5 when the BCS bowls were announced. There wasn't a nickel's worth of difference in the two teams according to the only unbiased sources we have. Just wanted to correct you here.

Anyways, I'm just really happy we won in a sport that matters back in December.
