Sounds like we're circling DeVito and making overtures to Dorsey.

It's very clear that Reid wants to plug in a vet at DE. Taking one 1st overall seems incredibly unlikely at this point.

I think we end up targeting one of the 9er DL that shake loose.

And I think sopagoa or the other DL from the 9ers would come at a good price and fit well here.

DeVito and Dorsey are about a wash.

DeVito is physically larger than Dorsey. Taller, larger, probably a bit stronger. Maybe that makes him a better prototypical fit for our scheme, I don't know.

Both are stout run defenders, neither gets much action in the passing game.

Both are a bit of a weird fit in the 1-gap scheme, and honestly I like our prospects better with Sharrif Floyd or Star Lotulelei.

The takeaway here: the Chiefs REALLY don't want to take a DL 1st overall.

Seems I would much rather have Canty, who can rush the passer then. Guess he doesn't like it here in KC though.

Who knows. Canty's being really finicky. He wants to determine where he ends up and that's not going too well.

He'd be a really good fit in our scheme -- he excelled in it as a Cowboy.
