View Full Version : Chiefs 2013 ChiefsPlanet Consensus Mock, Round 1

I did this last year to amusing effect, so let's get it going this year for my amusement, if for nothing else.

I will mock up the NFL Draft as draft season develops, and every time the Chiefs are up for a pick, I will put the question before ya'll to see who you're interested in picking.

So, Chiefs get the first pick. Select from the above options who you want them to select.

Now, I am making a controversial executive decision here and EXCLUDING Geno Smith, since we all know that is not realistic anymore, and including him will no doubt make him the winner. I want to see what ChiefsPlanet realitically likes as an option.

Keep in mind, there is no trade down option: so who do you want them selecting?

Poll coming soon.

It's sad that's we're at the point where QB isn't even a poll option.

The consensus mock told us to take a fucking guard last year.

May as well do it again.

I honestly have no idea who I'd select.

Really.

I guess it'd be a toss-up between Joeckel (if the Chiefs aren't serious about re-signing Albert) and Lotulelei.

As long as it's not Luke Jerkoff I don't give a ****.

This, its not even I think he's bad its the fact I don't want all the experts to be right. I'd rather take Fisher over him now.

They won't be choosing at 1.1 so this poll is worthless

The consensus mock told us to take a ****ing guard last year.

May as well do it again.

The mock from last year:

1. OG David DeCastro, Stanford
2. NT Alameda Ta'amu, Washington
3. QB Brock Osweiler, Arizona State
4. RB Cyrus Gray, Texas A&M
5. WR Marvin McNutt, Iowa
6. OLB Bruce Irvin, West Virginia
[that's as far as we got]

This is a real quote from SNR:

McNutt is the only good pick in this draft.

chiefscafan > this mock

McNutt went undrafted in the real Draft. LMAO

I was a huge fan of the Irvin pick. I took him in the 3rd round of the CP mock draft.

I also recall liking the Ta'amu selection as well.

Alas, three good picks does not a mock make.

Seeing as how it is impossible to find a 3-4 down lineman in FA that will actually get push the pocket, I'm big-time in that camp.

I still think Floyd is the most explosive of the group, so that's my pick. Lotulelei doesn't have the explosion I want that high and Sheldon...well I hate Sheldon because he cost me a bowl game on account of being a lazy cocksucker. He's also dumber than the labrador I'm presently poking in the eye with my big toe to ensure he's still alive.

Voted Millner.

Don't want OL, can't stomach another DL 1st round bust by KC.

to replace which pro bowl OLB exactly?

They better pull off a trade for their own sake, because if Geno Smith isn't worth #1, for sure as shit none of those guys are.

I don't give a shit anymore.

f*&ck it. Chance Warmack. I hope they take a guard with the #1.1 overall pick.

i hope Buffalo, Jacksonville Arizona and Oakland like Geno enough to trade up for him.

I wouldn't mind trading back and netting an extra pick.

It will be Joeckel or trade down.

I'd rather get Milliner than Jokel or any lineman.

Red Brooklyn
03-14-2013, 10:02 AM
Since QB and trade down aren't options, I went will Milliner. This isn't what I expect the Chiefs to do, but what I would do given the available options.

Exoter175
03-14-2013, 10:45 AM
1. Trade down
2. Since we don't need an OLB, and you don't draft a CB or Guard at No. 1
3. Star, Sharriff, Luke, or Fisher.
4. If we don't sign a tackle soon, Luke.

But, we're trading down in this draft, and we've already been made an offer.

Rausch
03-14-2013, 10:46 AM
1ST preference would be a trade down.

Stuck at 1 = Milliner...

This. it HAS to be one of the d-lineman it is by far the biggest need on the team next to STARTING ILB lol

NO IT'S NOT!

Poe would be an athletic force outside (DE.) Powe is a natural NT. When given the chance he's performed. He's perfect there.

Jackson has restructured and we've signed depth.

Look. Running an attacking 3-4 (THANK GOD!) THE LEAST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THE FRONT 7 IS THE DE.

The fact we drafted a 3-4 DE in Romeo's scheme is just about the most retarded waste of talent since Glen Dorsey.

UNLEASH these guys.

It's like drafting a guy like Decastro to pass block 40+ plays a game. Just fucking stupid...

Milliner if stuck at the first pick, which I think has a very high probability of happening.

Poll fail. You can't exclude Geno. They have the #1 pick in the draft, which makes every player available. This will not represent consensus in any way.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't get one of the high rated QBs.

...which is to say, I'm going to be dissapointed on Draft day.
If we come out of this draft/off season with Alex Smith and a LT, and some shitting 3+ round picks, I'll be sick.

You're an armchair politician. You know it's fucking context. Christ, if you want to "direct quote" me again, why don't you pick the one where I say "Heil Hitler!" or the one from the 2012 offseason where I say, "Romeo Crennel isn't a terrible head coach"

Exoter175

Why would people seriously be on the Geno bandwagon still?

Yes, he's going to have a great Pro-Day, but that doesn't magically change anything for anyone. We're not going to see things we haven't seen out of him, and it won't shake up the draft at all.

If we sign a top flight Tackle, then you can cling tightly to your hopes, but if we don't sign a tackle, we aren't getting Geno. Simple Drafmatics.
