Chargers released LT Jared Gaither.

Signed to a four-year, $24.6M contract a year ago, Gaither essentially quit on the Chargers. "Big Lazy" appeared in just four games, milking back and groin injuries that the medical staff never deemed serious before landing on injured reserve. The Chargers are so down on Gaither that they're willing to take a $6M cap hit this season. The 6'9/340 behemoth immediately becomes the the best talent available on the left tackle market, but that's only if he wants to play. Meanwhile, the Chargers currently have King Dunlap penciled in on Philip Rivers' blind side, making Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson a strong possibility at No. 11 overall in April's draft.

What a freakin bum! I remember being so pissed we cut him mid-season after he screwed up on some 3rd or 4th down play (cant recall) and they pulled him. Obviously this guy had completely blown his welcome in KC. And now this makes his 3rd team to give up on a very talented guy, he just doesn't care.

True Jeckel is already a soft bitch, no training needed

I think everyone was pissed moreso because Barry Richardson was still playing and Gaither never made it on the field, but yeah, can't blame either Pioli or Haley for cutting bait based on what we now know...

If I had to guess, based on only our avatar and you being a "Space Cadet", you're probably of the slightly nerdy type. Hilarious to hear you call someone a soft bitch.

Hey, I've been wrong before.

I just don't think "soft bitch" are the two words that most accurately describe Luke Joeckel.

After hearing that he refused to play RT for us which is what we needed him to do, I didn't mind cutting him. Luckily his bum ass is costing another AFCW team :D
