View Full Version : Life In 14 hours I will be under the knife

J Diddy
04-07-2013, 03:52 PM
I have opted for the tissue valve as it seems to deliver the highest quality of life (no blood thinners for life, just a simple aspirin) and no internal ticking sound. They say I will have to have another surgery but the way it is now they've been doing a cather valve replacement for 2 years and I'm inclined to think that in the 15 before I will need it, they will have perfected it.

My letters are wrote to my children, my finances are in order, and I think I've handled everything that should be handled in case something bad happens to me.

I will attempt to give a shout out tomorrow after it is done, but worse case it will be Tuesday. If something should happen, I love this site, have been very fortunate to meet some of you and even more fortunate to have not :D. It's been great talking to you, in case of the latter.

I hope like hell he made it.

I lost my father in law 2 months ago to double bypass surgery. He lost his life about 3-4 days after surgery due to blood clot.

They had him on blood thinners and used the leg massagers and he still ended up getting a clot.

I had this surgery four years ago (mechanical, not the tissue) and I was in ICU for 48 after surgery without problems. Just the nature of this surgery. I was In the hospital 4 days before I went home.

I love coming here, but after that surgery, this was one of the last things I was thinking about. I was in so much pain I could hardly walk when I got home.

Hope he is okay though. He pm'd last night and we talked about some stuff.

Good to hear JDiddy. I do have a question for you if you don't mind sharing but how old are you? I was thinking you were a fairly young guy.

Since he has a heart issue, I would normally ask you to take down that avatar that produces palpitations, but I'm looking at that avatar and I've decided that it's worth the risk.

Pacemaker surgery went alright. All in all today isn't too bad, but compared to yesterday it's significantly better. Day 2 can suck my ballz. I have never been exposed to such excruciating pain in my life.
