Forecast calls for scattered storms at 7pm through 8pm. Strong storms and near-100% chance sometime after 8pm.

Pelfrey isn't a very intimidating pitcher. Ignore 2012 thats less than 20 innings, for his career he's been a bit under MLB average. 93 ERA+, only about 5 K/9, and only about 1.5 K/BB.

The forecast has improved significantly. KC is still going to get crushed by strong thunderstorms tonight, but the system has been slower than expected. Instead of about 8:30 or 9, the thunderstorms wont arrive until about 10 or so. If its a really long game, maybe the 9th gets washed out. There's always a chance that some tiny but angry red pocket perfectly hits the K and forces them to tarp the field long enough for the big storm to arrive.

Tomorrow, the rain should be gone by about 4 or 5.

Its kinda nice that the K is on the eastern edge of the city. I know of at least 2 games that we were able to get in because it was in the east side instead of the west.

Every team should have their stadium on the east side of their city if possible, think about it: if its on the east side you have a better chance of getting the game in but you have no advantage on the west side. On the west side, the rain might end sooner but that doesn't matter at all. They'll either play to 1am if necessary or they wont. Starting or re-starting the game sooner doesn't matter. If its on the east side, then the extra 15 or 20 minutes you get before the rain arrives may make all the difference.
