I have nothing to compare it to, but I went once with free tickets. As a on NASCAR fan, I really enjoyed it.

It's big, round and made of concrete, but that's not important right now.

Boogity. The 43 got sideways with the 88, then the 48 got loose, the 35 came at me, and I was in the wall. I'd like to thank my sponsors though.

Decent facility.

I am not a fan of Nascar anymore, but the racing used to suck big time at KC.

I've been to a couple of races.. It's just another mile-and-a-half tri-oval. Nothing special as a track, and that's the problem IMO, it's just another one of these new cookie-cutter tracks. Unfortunately in the grander scheme of things, it'll never have an identity of its own. And being from KC, it'll never amount to much more than a one-week stop on the circuit.

That being said, it's a race, and being there is still cool and a fun experience.

This. The style of track usually makes for a rather uneventful and sometimes boring race. Not to say that crashes = excitement. But the track doesn't usually allow for the kind of race where a car could go from 25th place to 5th place. If a car starts in 25th place, it's a safe bet it will end the race about 3 or 4 spots from where it started. Makes it kinda bland. But it's close, parking is free, you can bring your own booze, and it's loud and exciting.

I've driven it several years back. Ten laps seemed like 2 minutes. It was fun but it happened so fast, it was over before you knew it.

They don't sell booze there???

I was wondering they got up to real high speeds like the Texas Motor Speedway in Ft Worth.

Is this a restrictor plate track?

No.

Daytona and Talladega are restrictor plate tracks. They are the fastest tracks on NASCAR's circuit. Both tracks are ovals and over 2.5 miles long. (Speed approx. 210-225 mph). The banking on both tracks are very high - Restrictor plates slow the cars down.

Texas Motor Speedway is a very fast track. However, the track is 1.5 miles long. It also has a high banking. (Speed approx. 195 mph).
