Quarterback Tyler Bray, undrafted out of Tennessee, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, a league source told ESPNBoston.com's Field Yates.

More From Scouts Inc.
Scouts Inc. breaks down the top 10 undrafted players from the 2013 class, including quarterbacks Matt Scott and Tyler Bray. Story

Yates was considered one of the top players not to be selected in the draft.

Undrafted Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers' brother, will sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Jordan Rodgers, 24, passed for 2,539 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions last season with the Commodores.

Jacksonville has 2011 first-rounder Blaine Gabbert and veteran Chad Henne already on the roster.

Information from ESPNBoston.com's Field Yates and ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter was used in this report.

ILChief
04-27-2013, 09:18 PM
ANALYSIS
Strengths
Bray uses his height to adequately survey the field and see over his offensive lineman, yet he also displays the flexibility to bend and reach for low shotgun snaps. Bray has elite arm strength, and generates this power through a consistent rotation of his hips. His throws are often tight spirals, and the velocity of his throws allows him to beat defenders to the spot. He shows the ability to manipulate the pocket, and change his arm slot, while still delivering accurate throws.
Weaknesses
An extremely thin build, and won't contribute much as a scrambler. His gamed is mired with tremendous inconsistencies, mostly rooted in a poor feel for the intricacies of the game. Accuracy and footwork can go array at any point in the game. Takes to many unnecessary risks. Has a tendency to stare down his targets. Did not develop in his Junior season as many had hoped.
NFL Comparison
Jay Cutler
Bottom Line
Based on pure arm talent, Bray is an extremely impressive quarterback prospect. However, his arm talent only resulted in a few standout plays amongst a season of poor decisions, and maddening inconsinstencies. An NFL team that drafts him will be doing so based on their faith in cleaning up the many aspects of Bray's game that leave much to be desired.

YES! Regardless of his d-bag tendencies, he was my 2nd fave QB in the draft (behind Geno). I saw numerous projections for next year that had him as the fave to go #1 overall had he not declared this year....in a draft class they are projecting to be more talented...doesn't make sense. But love this. I've been a Bray fan since his Sophomore season.

Well to be fair character does matter in sports. I am not saying you need 25 team leaders, because you don't. I am all for taking chances ie. Houston last year. I don't think its irrelevant though or that it only impacts post game interviews.

The reality is the all arm/less brain QBs rarely make it. The guy has a monster arm though, he can make any throw on the field. But he also made some throws Matt Cassel would shake his head at. Mind boggling bad throws. He definitely needs someone who will discipline him a bit.

RunKC
04-27-2013, 09:32 PM
Watching him on Gruden camp, he made a ton of his INT's mistakes because he always wanted to go deep and threw it into double, sometimes triple teams.

There were mulitiple plays where he could have threw it to the flat to his RB. Hell one of those INT's the RB was wide the fuck open with no defender within 15 yards of him and Bray threw it deep.

Sounds like he is fixable. It's his character that concerns me. Not sure if he can be a leader and run this offense.

Milk what are your thoughts on Bray? You think we may have something here?

I like his physical ability, but didn't like his decision making, and have concerns about his coachability.

At the end of the day, QBs are defined by what's above the shoulders, and Bray strikes me as an idiot.

Watching him on Gruden camp, he made a ton of his INT's mistakes because he always wanted to go deep and threw it into double, sometimes triple teams.

There were mulitiple plays where he could have threw it to the flat to his RB. Hell one of those INT's the RB was wide the **** open with no defender within 15 yards of him and Bray threw it deep.

Sounds like he is fixable. It's his character that concerns me. Not sure if he can be a leader and run this offense.

ANDY REID. Going undrafted could help his immaturity and wake him up...I hope

I like his physical ability, but didn't like his decision making, and have concerns about his coachability.

At the end of the day, QBs are defined by what's above the shoulders, and Bray strikes me as an idiot.

We just have to hope that he does have the ability to learn and adapt.

Been calling for Bray to KC for a long time. Always said he needed to sit a learn from a strong, QB-centric and offensive minded coach with no pressure to start as a rookie.

He's either going to boom or bust, nothing in between. No career backup, either a good starting QB in the NFL or selling insurance somewhere.

I don't know about that. Alex Smith was the #1 overall pick in the draft. I have never agreed with the people who act like he's a talentless hack. He hasn't lived up to his potential at all... no doubt. But Alex Smith is probably the most all around talented QB on the roster. He's a former #1 pick. He's not some 6th round scrub.

Majorly surprised. This improves the draft class as a whole if it's actually legit. It goes from "why didn't they pick a QB" to "they may have been smart not to pick a QB".

I wouldn't go that far.

I like that they went all in to steal Bray from the Dolphins. He has everything you hope for as far as talent, but he still has that thing on top of his shoulders.

They still picked Davis in the 3rd. And the only pick on day 3 that wasn't a WTF was the obvious pick of Nico.

LMAO  :cuss: :deevee: :harumph:

His ceiling is 10x higher than Scott's it isn't even funny. I can't believe they didn't just sign him. There's no risk after the draft is over. Mind boggling how stupid Caldwell is. You got your QBotF. Guaranteed this humbled him a whole bunch. I'll be jealous but I'll root for you guys all the same.

Just watched his 2012 games. Major arm and makes some amazing throws. Also takes way too many chances. He actually reminds me of the young Brett Favre when he would sling it everywhere and make amazing throws followed by amazingly stupid throws.

Should be fun to see if he develops.

Fuck that I've been behind him since I got here. I didn't say anything because CPers freak out over opinions. I live in SEC country also, so I watch the kid and like his game.

He has everything you hope for as far as talent, but he still has that thing on top of his shoulders. However you want to characterize it, he was someone literally everyone projected to be drafted. He's exactly the kind of UDFA you want to sign, and it improves the rookie class as a whole.

See the point of claiming victory over something is that you sat through insults and you were eventually proven right(not on this since nothing was proven). You can't say "I didn't say anything" and then jump up and claim you were all about the guy.
