It's a Q. I showed it to a guy I work with a few months ago and we'll probably end up buying some for the shop at some point.

I was thinking they could coat floors and have it push the water to designated areas, perhaps to a drain. So many possibilities.

My only concern is durability. How tough is it? Can it stand up to being scuffed? Soft materials durability? They don't say anything about longevity and reapplication.

Yeah I'm sure they're working out issues like that. I've been told it will be ready for the public in 2 years. Even if you had to recoat something every week or two, think how much longevity you could add to a pair of shoes or boots with this stuff?

2. How long will Ultra-Ever Dry coating last?
Answer: The SE 7.6.110 formula’s longevity in use is susceptible to environmental conditions (UV / abrasion). This coating will generally last 2-8 months in direct sunlight and outdoor conditions before recoating of the top coat would be required. When used in indoor or covered applications outdoors, the SE 7.6.110 coating should last for a year or more. Other formulas are being added to our product line that can provide years of useful life before any recoat is needed.

Normally I rage hard when people post youtube vids without any description of what we're supposed to be watching. However, that product is absolutely amazing and I want that crap sprayed on my vehicle immediately. Weird that they didn't include any auto type demonstrations, seems to me that would be a massive market for them.

No market.

Wears off quickly, very expensive, and lots of toxic fumes.

No you don't... It will discolor your vehicle, unless it happens to be colored cream white to begin with. Which is why you haven't seen any demonstrations on a vehicle. And it would probably cost around $500-1000 for enough to coat your vehicle, which would last only a few weeks..

2-8 months is a pretty huge window. What about wear, though? Not just incidental contact, but if you put it on a pair of boots or work gloves, how long will it last?
