I said a couple of weeks ago they have to avoid those 8- or 10-game losing streaks, as well as those 3-12 stretches. Well, a loss here puts us at 3-10, IIRC.

We thought losing streaks would be less likely this year because of our starting pitching -- you can't beat Shields/Santana/Guthrie twice in 10 days, can you?

But as we've seen, if you score only 1-3 runs, you are very much capable of losing a lot of games even if you pitch well.
