It's not just the young guys underperforming, which is really puzzling. Guys who were hitting well last year - Butler and Esky - have really struggled to get anything going this year. LoCain and Gordon got off to hot starts but have fallen back off. Hos and to a lesser extent, Moose are starting to come around now but obviously got off to very slow starts. I don't get the Salvy hate. The dude is really our only consistent hitter at this point. Frenchy and Johnson are obviously going to be mediocre bats forever.

We need our players in the motherfucking weight room five days a week in the off-season. These kids need to get stronger and they all need to be able to take an opposing pitcher's mistake "deep" when it happens. As of now, no opposing pitcher fears making a mistake because these clowns, if the take a cut at a mistake, rarely take it deep. Just sad!

90% of baseball is pitching and hitting. Now that we have the rather respectable pitching, our hitting is worse than triple-A. And even if they make contact, they rarely can take it deep.

So they need to go get some hitting and only give have a shit about catching, short stop and center field. Make sure all the others can lose a pitcher's mistake.
