Paid for by Chip Kelly's dirty program, the ncaa sanctions and his 3 year show-cause penalty are just bonuses.

I love modern architecture.

I've wondered why the home team's (at any level) locker room isn't painted an "energetic" color, such as red or orange. And conversely have the visitors locker room painted shades of blue, gray, or greens. I say this since Oregon's locker room is quite unpleasant and uninspiring being that it is all grey scale. I understand it would seem strange that it may not be your team colors.

And now having thought of it some more, it clearly has not helped the Chiefs, and I now take a full reversal on my prior position and believe that the Chiefs should immediately begin using the visiting locker room.

It's not the facility, it is how you use it.

...

Just kidding, it is the facility.

I guess this means Oregon football might turn the corner and get the NC now?

That facility will probably play a roll with recruitment as well as making players feel like they're better than everyone else, adding to the sense of pride. If i was a recruit and i got a tour of that facility, i think it would have a positive impact on the way i felt about the program.

The Chiefs can take a page out of Oregon's book. People like new, modern and exciting. Most people aren't into old, bland and boring.

Hell, even after the Chiefs renovated arrowhead, it still has that midwestern bland vibe to it.

Shiiit. If you're an Iowa fan don't worry. .their facilities are awesome too! Took my brother in law their for a recruiting visit and meet their head coach and toured the facilities. They were still building the indoor facilities when we toured. I visited KU MU MN and a few others. .Iowa had the best facilities.

I'm pretty sure that is a pic from before the the renovations.

And while Oregon's facilities look cool, Tennessee's is top dog IMO.

Actually it was probably paid for by Phil Knight just like the rest of that campus. A lot of Nike profits have gone to his alma mater.

Because all top programs have excellent facilities and the #1 determinant in recruiting is the relationship the kid has with the coaches & existing players.

Iowa has had pink visiting locker rooms for several decades...

Proud Oregon alum?

I have taken classes there if that counts in your eyes. Life dictated that I needed to stay in Southern Oregon so the vast majority of my college was done at a small university there.

BTW, congrats on your Heat. LeBron has really been amazing.

Wow, the tone on this thread is pretty mild.

OSU and USC got grilled by the media, people on this board, and the NCAA for really minor violations. Oregon got a slap on the wrist for completely egregious violations of cheating. And now they're getting a lucrative stadium deal out of it.

That's fucked up. The NCAA's handling of Oregon is embarrassing.

That's complete BS.

Everyone cared when it was OSU and USC. ESPN couldn't stop printing articles about it.

Oregon's actions were 100 times worse than OSU and USC's. Just because your school is more popular, doesn't mean you should get away with more. The NCAA is a joke for letting Chip Kelly and Oregon become better off for cheating. The idea that they got away with cheating with a small slap on the wrist and ended up with a huge stadium deal is an embarrassment.

this just makes me think this will make the team even softer.

Can you imagine Chuck noll.....or god forbid, Lou Brown (head coach of the Indians in "Major League") approving of this???

HELL NO!!!!

You have some hate for Oregon obviously. All Oregon was charged with was failure to monitor. They were obviously in the wrong but don't even compare to USC.

I don't hate Oregon. I like the program.

But they cheated. And they got a competitive advantage by influencing the recruiting process. They were in the wrong a HELL of a lot worse than what OSU got caught for. I would argue USC too, but given how much money was involved, okay... I get it.

I'm in the school of, the NCAA needs to punish everybody or don't punish anybody at all. But they shouldn't give preferential treatment to one school over the other. You said Oregon was clearly in the wrong. If they were clearly in the wrong and got caught, then why in the world are they not going to miss a single bowl game?

Only a few teams have enough local talent, coaching and facilities to challenge them. They are definitely on another level right now. And then their is this.
