Haven't started one this year, might as well start this one.

Wade Davis getting rocked early... everything in that first inning was hit HARD, but great D from Gordon and Bonifacio bails him out.

BTW...

The starter for Washington in this game would be a Royal if Zack Greinke hadn't vetoed the trade to Washington (and the guy playing SS would be a Royal, too).

Thanks, Zack.

Got to give him a little leeway. He may not have been sane at that point and time

Why do we continue to start Davis? JFC.

He kind of settled down the last 2 innings. Hope he can keep it going for a few more

Leave Davis in the rotation, he's clearly just about to turn it around.

Same story, different year (Davies then Hochever).

7 hits, 5 stranded 1 run. Same old shit

Gordon is really struggling.

Ned's giving up early tonight, leaving Davies in after giving up 7 runs through 5. Hope he doesn't see his firing coming again. How many in a row does he have to lose to get the axe?

duncan_idaho
08-24-2013, 06:43 PM
If they fall below .500 again, is that enough to get Ned Yost axed?

One can hope...

I'm so glad 1-hit-vs-tigers Duffy is back in AAA so Wade Davis can keep pitching.

Welp the start of another week of losses. 7 in a row. Is LeadHead Ned let go if they are swept in consecutive series?

We all had our misgivings about Ned, GMDM, the trade, etc...but it's amazing how in just about 10 days this has turned into a pitchforks and torches event.

I guess the only thing worse than failure is extreme hope turning into failure.

Wade Davis is a joke as a starter. Continuing to run him out there in the rotation while Duffy clowns around in Omaha is a complete fail.

LOL. We've gone from 600+ posts in game threads to less than 30 in just two weeks. Remarkable.

I think Yost and Moore both get the boot at the end of the year.

I think the next closed door meeting needs to include firearms, explosives, devices of torture, and ancient Mayan survival games.

CaliforniaChief

Honestly I think Moore will return, but I suppose it's possible that Wil Myers could just go on a tear and carry the Rays to a title, which would not look real good.

The more they lose, the better chance Ned is kicked to the curb....
But, bottom line is we have one of the worst owners in the history of baseball.
It will never change as long as the POS Glass's own the team.
Its Red and Black to those fuktards. Not Wins or Losses.
Sad shit....

After Royals loss, Ned.Yost says he's considering taking Wade Davis out of starting rotation..

Davis has been throwing meatballs since the ASB. If I can spot it, I don't see how they can't as fucking "Baseball professionals." He just got extremely lucky for about three starts there.

Seven straight losses. Life may end soon for Big Head Ned.

Well, that's just great. Now that it's too late to matter, let's take the worst pitcher out of the rotation!

Yeah, the Phillies put their RF in to pitch. He got rocked. So they moved him back to the OF and put the LF in to pitch. It's a Little League game.

Mama Hip Rockets

The Phillies have issued 18 walks tonight. That has to be a single-game record, right?

tk13

The first position player to pitch was Casper Wells. He finished with 2/3 IP, 5 ER... plus 0-7 at the plate with 4 strikeouts. Now that's a rough game.
