This kinda has me worried ! Per an Interview with Andy Reid.

Q: What’s it like knowing you have a guy like Jamaal Charles that you can move around?

REID: “I mean, it’s great. I know Romeo (Crennel) probably would have told you the same thing, this guys is a great player, and (Todd) Haley, before that. He’s a heck of a football player. He wants the ball, which you appreciate. I really appreciated it after I saw his feet and the blisters on them. His feet were just a mess. The kid is a tough kid. He likes to play and you appreciate that

And after that Reid said he'll be fine, and that he'll play on Sunday.

This is just like when people would worry about the little dings Priest Holmes would take throughout the course of a season every week. Fantasy stat guys would downgrade him from the week, and then he'd come out and put up 300 all-purpose yards and a billion TDs.

Nothing to worry about.

You got that right. Us farmers know all about that stuff.

Hate to say it, but I doubt blisters will be too much of a problem. If the pain is too much, they'll inject him with a painkiller. Since blisters won't to lead to a structural problem with the foot, pain management is the only real issue.

If the blisters are like on the BOTTOM of his feet it will affect his running ability over the course of the season. You can't just keep rubbing them raw.

It took me three years to turn the blisters on my hands to callouses. It was misery.

I'm I'm a RB, I'd much rather have the blisters than something like a nagging hamstring or a groin pull, or even a deep bruise.

Charles will learn how to run with the pain. The doctors will monitor it to make sure nothing gets infected or any nasty shit like that.

He's going to be just fine.

Sorry, uneducated kid here. How long do they take to heal? Couldn't he just rest them up?

All the start and stops force their toes to slam into the front of their shoes hundreds of times a day. eventually that happens.

I wonder if Rex Ryan views Lebron's feet the same way we view Sarah Jessica Parker.

No. They do not.

Never had blisters from playing soccer, but I did develop callouses on the outsides of my big toes that were half-again as large as the big toe itself, then callouses just as big on the outer balls of my feet right behind those big toes..

It depends. I once had an enormous blister on my instep from rollerblading a long distance. That took two weeks to go away.

But, the bottom line is there's no way a guy getting paid what Charles is getting paid will miss a game to allow blisters to heal. He'll shoot pain killers if the pain becomes too bad. He might rub his skin raw and it might be pretty ugly and prone to infection, but he won't have muscle, ligament, or bone problems (structural issues) from blisters.

It's the difference between being hurt and being injured.

Tincture of benzoin. This has healed my blisters damn near completely in 24 hours numerous times, and these were silver dollar sized on the bottom of my heels.

Drain the fluid, then inject that stuff in the blister...it is searing agony for several seconds as it is a chemical burn that's cauterizing the wound. Lets put it this way, I got two huge blisters on on the balls of my feet following a 12 mile foot march due to wearing unbroken-in boots. I had a two mile run the next morning, and I could hardly walk. Doc shot me up, and I had zero issue running the next morning. I'm guessing the team doctors will have a solution for Charles...
