http://nbcprofootballtalk.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/350x-33.jpg?w=250 APDexter McCluster (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5780/dexter-mccluster) now has a bookend, to the award he won his first week as a pro.
The Chiefs return man was named AFC special teams player of the week, his first such honor since Week One of his rookie season.
McCluster’s 89-yard punt return touchdown was the longest in the league this year, and the fourth-longest in Chiefs franchise history (behind the 94-yarder his rookie year which won him the first award).
McCluster has always teased with potential, but there’s a reason he was drafted in the second round, and intrigues coaches with his ability.

It would be rather funny if all these Pioli draft picks just killed it this year.

Is that the 1st time it actually worked? Seems like it.

Yeah, likely because the KC/NY game was a nail biter until that happened... tough to top a 105 yard KO return, but it was a sweet play for Dex.

Getting talent on the team doesn't mean much if you're so blinded by cronyism that you can't find anyone to coach them.

Pioli needs to be a director of player personnel somewhere. He'd do that job quite well, IMO. But to allow him to run another football team or even give him plenary control over another draft would be insane.

How good was that challenge, btw? The Giants had a first down until we challenged the spot. Dexter then returned the punt for a TD, and the team never looked back.

His spin move? No it's not the first time he has made someone miss with it in the nfl.
And the spin move isn't even the highlight of this return - it's actually unnecessary but I enjoy it regardless.

gotta give credit to the midget, that was a clutch, clutch play

he runs straight up field from about the 18 to the 33 and that gets him through the gap...

Honestly, his best move was the juke that broke the whole thing open in the end. The dude trying to tackle him was at least 4 feet off his mark. I couldn't believe it.

What was really funny: my roommate and I were bitching about the failed spin attempts that he previously attempted then he finally times it right and breaks it open.

That long view from the end zone gets funnier every time I watch. Three consecutive unblocked Giants hit the turf, like one of those bad football movies. Boom boom boom.

Yes, it is the first time.

That spin move has been as useless as monopoly money in a cathouse.

I'm glad it worked out; and that was a huge play, but he's still a pretty worthless player in the grand scheme of things.

And I'll agree, the best move was the last little side step juke. If he employed that as much as he does the whirling dervish; he'd be a far better player.

The spin has never worked when he has caught the ball and been immediately surrounded by three players. I'll agree on Pablo's success rate though. I'll also admit at how disappointed I have been with Dex. He still has great hands, runs good routes, gets doubled often, is tough as shit, and loves being a Chief.
Of course I might be singing a slightly different tune had I not gone to Ole Miss... I doubt it though.
