610 is reporting that Flowers tweaked his good knee. No word on how severe it is :banghead:

#Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game. OLB Justin Houston is listed as probable.

man it's good we have Cooper and Sean Smith. Last year losing Flowers was basically a death sentence, this year we can manage without but it's obviously a lot better to have him.

If he can't go, I guess we will see a lot of 3 WR sets from Oakland to get Dunta on the field. :deevee:

I'm still kind of dumbstruck that Cooper has earned our confidence so quickly. The dude really can't have played better in his opportunities so far.

Between him and McGrath, I'm basically in love with Dorsey and his scouting team.

I have a feeling we're going to be limping into the bye week. It's a good thing we have a soft schedule. Offense will need to continue to improve though.

Something tells me Cooper is a permanent starting CB from here on out. ;)

As long as he's back in time for denver, i dont care... just want my welkerstopper to be present and accounted for then.

Til then, never fear... Coopers here.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Flowers, who already has been dealing with a balky right knee, tweaked his other knee in practice, while Kendrick Lewis practiced “a little bit” and is making progress as he recovers from a sprained ankle. Reid did not offer more information on the status of either player, but Lewis is also listed as questionable.

Tight ends Anthony Fasano (ankle/knee) and Travis Kelce (knee) did not practice. Kelce has been declared out for Sunday while Fasano is doubtful.

Thought we might get Fasano back for Sunday but doesn't look like it

Coop has looked really good in the small sample size of games so far but if he is so good how come SF failed to recognize his talent and the diamond in the rough potential they had.

Because the Niners thought Cooper was a project while Nnamdi still had something in the tank and Tremaine Brock is a good player.

This is a game I'd actually be ok with Cooper starting and Flowers sitting. Flowers hasn't had the best experiences against the Raiders. And Cooper facing a couple of so-so WRs would be a fine way to get him adjusted to potentially being an outside starter soon. By soon I mean in the next year or 2.

I don't want to break the kid and have him going up against Andre Johnson though.

S. Smith has been out performing Carr IMO.

Dorsey added Smith and Cooper this off-season.
The twin towers of power.

Is there a bigger set of CBs in the league?
Big physical press corners like that on the team with the leagues best pass rush?

Can you believe that THAT IS US?

As long as Jacoby Ford isn't out there, I'm fine with Flowers sitting. We don't really have anybody who can cover him if Flowers sits.

Not that Flowers can cover Ford anyway, though.

Perhaps Seattle with Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner.
