See ya Matt LMAO

Quarterback Josh Freeman will make his first start for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night against the New York Giants, coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday. Christian Ponder will be the backup Monday, Frazier said. Matt Cassel had started the past two games at quarterback while Ponder was sidelined with a rib injury. (ESPN)

The Matt Cassel era was short in length, but international in nature.

I met a Vikes fan on Sat night, and asked him how felt about Cassel. He thought he was good and was excited for him to start the next day. I laughed in his face. He looked at me like I was crazy and I didnt know what I was talking about when I said 'can you spell shitthebed?"
LOL, I wonder where that dude is right now....

Well the good news for Vikings fans was that their front office wasn't married to either Cassel or Ponder long term. When a possibility of something better popped up, they jumped on it. Cassel for 2 games is better than Cassel for 4 years...

My thoughts exactly. The Chiefs fans had a long slow drawn out torture, and the Vikings ripped the band-aid off quickly.

This is a horrid situation when a team is starting another team's failures.

Perhaps one of the Europe league teams will sign him for 60M euros off that impressive performance

It's too bad they can't put him on the practice squad and give him a few more years to develop.

He might make a decent soccer player. I assume he'd be better off in a league where you can't touch the ball with your hands. :D

Shitty thought for the day - even if he gets cut tomorrow and never throws another pass in the NFL, he'll still be filthy rich for the rest of his life and got that way by fucking us.

I think it probably helps not having Pioli as your GM.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Freeman have a great game, especially now that is out from under Schiano.

He has a chance. There is a SHIT TON of talent on that offense. Their oline is good, and they have some RB that apparently is pretty good.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit, if this didn't work out extremely well for them.

A guy to watch is Cordarelle Patterson now.

But shit.

he has Jennings, Jerome simpson, Kyle Rudolph, Patterson, Ap, all to play with now.

Lets face it. Everyone hates Schiano in Tampa. EVERYONE. Hell, Revis was pissed at him before the season started, and he had just got there.

The buccs are a hot mess. Hes just lucky he got out of there.

Josh Freeman is talented.

Hes just emotionally fragile. Leslie Frazier is a player friendly coach. I could really see this working.

Well, to be fair, on CP "true fan" means anyone that disagrees with the drafturbators or doesn't bitch constantly about the Chiefs QB. Which is all but a very loud few of you.

Sometimes a change of scenery or 2nd chance can create a spark. It's happened before ala Alex Smith!

I agree. Schiano is just a fucking clown. Should of stayed in college.
