My wife was asked to be the Chiefs cheerleader's chaplain for this game. So we are having service in the press conference room right now.
Walked in behind Phil Simms, back behind the locker rooms. Pretty cool so far.

Too bad you'll have to go to your own wife for confession/admittance of sins after you leave the room...

Well, if we're speaking frankly here, many aren't there for their looks...

That was pretty cool. Her sermon got a lot of tears, and based on their comments, meant a lot.
Pretty proud of her.

Why wouldn't the Chiefs just use one chaplain for all gameday personnel including ushers, security, and players alike?

Do the players get their own chaplain?

Usually, yes. Think that was put to bed with the Pioli era. Not sure if it has returned.

I hope you offered to baptize them while they're wearing t-shirts. Because, you know, it saves their souls and stuff.

I'm guessing it is because they meet in the locker room, and guys are not allowed in the cheerleaders locker room.

I dream of a world where segregation and discrimination no longer exists and a man can go wherever a woman can.

I think it has a lot more to do with schedule than anything. The cheerleaders are out in the parking lot, on the field practicing, etc pretty early. The players are in the locker room getting prepared, and probably have time later in the schedule for a service. I don't know this for fact, it's just my assumption.

Sully

It's also quite a bit different dynamic in the service, as any good minister is going to Taylor their message to the specific audience.
