Think it was 0-6, but nevertheless pretty amazing.

Wish they hadn't done the Jeckyl and Hyde routine but whatever.

This is the defense we've waited decades for. Can the offense match it's intensity?

Better today... but still a long way to go.

We did manage almost 50% third-down conversion against the #1 defense based on yards and Alex made some decent throws (unlike last week), but we have to be able to pick up those 1-yard plays.

I think there have been 3-4 plays this year where we left points off the board because we couldn't get 1 yard.

Heck, we were two yards away from 14 points today.

I'll say it again like I did in another thread: our conditioning and strength coach is the most underrated guy on our staff. Our team has so much energy and stamina in the 4th quarter it's incredible. We get STRONGER as the game wears on.

It's easy to see and I still can't believe the difference between us and our opponents; they are spent!

I think this is the first game where the Chiefs did not score last.

I usually think of that as something that creates wins.

The ability this coaching staff has to make adjustments is as competent as I've seen in years...and I'm sure the conditioning is a factor in that as well.

Totally, totally dominant in the second half all year long. Particularly in the fourth quarter. This team really knows how to close out games.

I think I saw that the Texans had -1 yard in the 4th qtr.?

Correct.

Though neither team scored in the final 15 minutes, the Chiefs owned the fourth quarter against the Texans.

Houston took 13 snaps in the period, not counting punts. The Texans’ fourth-quarter offensive output: negative-1 yard. Seven plays went for zero or negative yards.

:toast:
I was getting pissed watching Case whats his phuck scrambling around for what seemed like a lifetime in the first half ... second half just got better and better. Fitting end for the D to get a sack, strip, and fumble recovery.

Basically 4 good plays. TE to the 1, busted play and deep throw to Johnson, throw to TE to set up FG, throw from own endzone.

I can....we finally started bringing the heat on an inexperienced QB. Wish we would have done that a lot sooner.

The wife is a native Houstonian so she was giving me crap in the first half. Told her to wait for the 2nd half.

Sutton hadn't been sending them. Really odd approach 'playing off'

I agree with this, but they have something to hope for with the kid. He played extremely well considering the circumstances he was facing.

First game action in a hostile environment against the best pass rush I can remember seeing with my own eyes. Kudos to him.

Anything can happen on any play, but (knock on wood) it's not by accident that going into this game, the Chiefs were one of three teams with no hamstring or quad injuries on the injury report. There were one of two teams with no players 'doubtful' or 'out'. An outstanding conditioning program and first rate training staff is paying dividends 7 games into the season.

The halftime adjustments have been impressive and I love it!

Maybe some week we get the gameplan right coming outa the gate tho, huh guys? week 11 might be a good time to try it.

At this point I almost think its by design... Or maybe our guys are just more resilient and by the fourth quarter it shows.

The Broncos-Colts game last night, however, gives me hope that we can limit Peyton to under 30 and somehow get Alex to put the pedal down and score enough to win.
