I tore my labrum in my hip in late April and insurance finally approved my surgery. Has anyone had this procedure? After reading some of the testimonials online it looks like this only works about 80% of the time. Has anyone ever had this done? if so what was the recovery time, and did you ever return to 100%?

Thanks for the comments in advance.

I believe its a pretty long rehab. What were your symptoms?

I'm sorry to hear this. It's pitiful that it's taken that long for insurance to approve the surgery.

I mean, you're just having some sand removed from it, right? :D

My hip catches and pops and it hurts all the time. Not as bad as my vagina but close.

curious as well, still waiting MRI results but they suspect this is why my hip and upper thigh hurt.

Do you drink 5 hour energy between business meetings and golf outings?

I had it done about ten years ago. It took me several months before I started running long distance again. If I still do a lot of sprint work for multiple days I can still feel it.

Interested as well. I had an MRI yesterday and was told I have a large hip labrum tear that might require surgery.
